Happy New Year! I’m sharing My Favorite Healthy Recipes for 2024. The new year is here, so let’s start it off right with my best wholesome, health-focused, and, of course, delicious recipes. I’ve included all of my favorites – everything from breakfast to lunch, to dinner, to desserts. These recipes are delicious, high in protein, and made with plenty of vegetables for many nutrients. I’m excited to start January off with so much color and deliciousness. I’d love to hear which of these recipes are your personal favorites.
January 2024 is here! I am so excited for the year that’s to come. We have so much to look forward to, so many fun things on the calendar, and, of course, so many new recipes to share! With the holidays behind us, it’s sure left me a bit sad. I love the specialness of December and am already looking forward to next season!
I share out this post every new year, each year adding in even more colorful protein-packed recipes than the previous year. Because we really want to kick Healthy January off on the best foot possible! This is our 8th Healthy January. It’s become a month that I think everyone really enjoys.
My big focus for 2024 is more protein, which seems to be a focus for many of us right now. I’m excited to continue to share colorful recipes with an emphasis on high-quality protein sources. To keep things exciting, I’m looking forward to using more red meat and pork in my recipes instead of just chicken.
I’ll still be sharing vegetable-focused recipes; balance is what I strive to achieve. My goal is to create nutrient-rich recipes to keep our energy levels high. I’m not the type of person to ever go carb-free, skimp on butter, or share a cheeseless pizza. I focus on using only real food in the recipes I create. I’m feeling excited for a year full of new recipes. I think this will be a year of creativity and simplicity with my cooking. Woohoo!
Are there any recipes you’d be especially excited to see? Cozy favorites made healthy? I always love to hear from you guys!

Lastly, if you make any of my favorite healthy recipes for 2024, be sure to leave a comment and/or give this recipe a rating! Above all, I love to hear from you guys and always do my best to respond to each and every comment. And, of course, if you do make this recipe, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram! Looking through the photos of recipes you all have made is my favorite!
These recipies look delicious, but I would never use these to lose or even maintain weight. Not enough protein in any of them, and lots of fat and carbs. The good news is that you can make your own swaps and double the protein to get better macros.
I was surprised too that this was the “healthy” list. So much fried stuff, simple grains (like noodles and white rice), lots of butter, lots of red meat. I know she said she was intentionally branching out to include red meat, but red meat is very much not a healthy option according to the AHA, so it seems weird on this list. I didn’t end up saving any of these to make later, which was a bummer. I miss the old days of the lemon chicken with baked sweet potato fries. Yummmm.
I love your recipes so much but all the ads on your page makes everything load SO SLOWLY. Half the time it shoots me back to the top of the page. I wish there were less because your food is awesome, but your website is an absolute nightmare to navigate. I had to stop halfway through this article because I just couldn’t take it anymore. It’s constantly loading! Please consider dialing back the ads; it’s really affecting the experience.
Hi Tieghan!
I was drawn to you by your incredible photography and I keep coming back because of the delicious recipes!! I haven’t found one that I don’t like yet! Thank you for making food so beautiful and yummy!!
Aw thank you so so much Carol! Love to hear that! 🙂 xT
I am a huge fan of your recipes! I have so the cookbooks and love love to cook out of them. I have made alot of your recipes. Wish they were all in cookbooks I could just page through (I’m passionate about cookbooks🤓). Thanks for all your hard work. I have been looking for a recipe with lentils paired with either beef or chicken. Do you have one for me?🤓
Hi there! Thank you so so much! So glad you are loving the recipes and the cookbooks This recipe is super yummy. and you can add in some beef or chicken! !https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/sweet-potato-lentil-curry/
I love your cookbooks so much! (Commenters below who are complaining about the lack of editing and testing on the website–I don’t disagree, but this problem is more than solved in the cookbooks in my experience.) I do find this “healthy” roundup to be pretty hilarious, though. Butter chicken? Red curry basil garlic oil noodles? Don’t get me wrong; I’m going to try a lot of these… in between some salads. 🙂
Found lots of good ones to pin for later that I haven’t tried before. You always have the BEST recipes!
Thank you so much! Hope you love these recipes! xT
There are so many tasty looking options, thanks! It’s getting me inspired to cook again after the madness of all the holiday cooking I did. Already looking forward to dinner lol!
Hi Kirsti! Thank you SO much! Always love to hear when a recipe is a success! Hope you have an amazing New Year! xT
I scrolled through all of the soup and dinner recipes of this post and found so many recipes to save to my recipe box. I have made many of your recipes and although I enjoy the staging, they truly deliver on taste. I for one love to use different spices and try new tastes. Thanks, Tieghan, for helping to start out my new year in a fun, creative, and healthy way.
Thank you so much Lynn! I’m so glad that you’re loving the recipes! xT
The staging of these recipes is what makes the dishes. The liberal use
of herbs, flowers, spices, cardamon, sea salt, etc., spiffs up the presentation
and creates the illusion. Do any home cooks actually serve their food this way?
Dill weed, limes, basil everywhere! Pretty to look at, but hardly realistic.
It is defiantly more about the photograph than the food.
Some nice recipes here, for sure, but (1) very few of these can be considered “healthy” or healthful, and (2) it is very unlikely the chef ever actually eats any of this food. Or any food at all.
I love your recipes but this post is so full of ads and pop ups that I can’t even get through it all. I understand that the ads are how you make money but it would be so helpful if I could actually see which recipes were included in the post rather than be overstimulated by ads all over the page.
Yup. Impossible to read.
Happy New Year Tieghan. Having enjoyed a few weeks of indulging in festive foods, I am always ready for a healthy January. Like you I am also focusing on high protein, but also low sugar and low carbs. I swap out rice, pasta and potatoes for zucchini noodles, shredded lettuce and spinach and sweet potato or broccoli, it definitely works for me and I feel better for it.
Looking forward to seeing your new recipes for January, let’s do this! 🙂
Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you! xT
