Skillet Brown Sugar Peach Cobbler.

Skillet Brown Sugar Peach Cobbler.

My end of summer old fashioned Skillet Brown Sugar Peach Cobbler. This cobbler is nothing short of delicious. Every bite is layered with late summer peaches, rich brown butter, vanilla, warming cinnamon, and plenty of brown sugar to sweeten the deal. The peaches are juicy, while the topping is crisp on the edges, soft in the center, and extra buttery. This cobbler is so pretty, super simple to make, and a great end of summer dessert to serve to family and friends. Top with vanilla ice cream for the best peach dessert to send off summer! This post is sponsored by Vermont Creamery. I couldn't let August pass by without at least one last sweet peach recipe. This skillet brown sugar peach cobbler is one I've been wanting to share for a few years now but never got around to. It's a classic peach cobbler but made extra delicious with a few special touches. After many rounds of test

  • Giveaway (enter below)! Baked Brie (wrapped in flaky pastry) with Maple and Thyme Roasted Plumcots from @familytreefarms most recent harvest. Have you guys tried plumcots? They are a cross between an apricot and a plum and I honestly cannot begin to describe how delicious...and pretty these plumcots are. Fully obsessed. I roasted them with a touch of maple and fresh thyme, then spooned them over pastry wrapped baked brie. It’s cheesy, flaky and the roasted plumcots give this easy appetizer the perfect sweet finish. The BEST. Recipe linked in profile - Enjoy!

  • Without a doubt this garlic butter creamed corn chicken is my go-to dinner right now. It's that time of year when I have more corn than I know what to do with. Anyone else?!? Couldn't love this skillet dinner more. video really say's it all.  If you haven't yet, you must make this before summers end. Recipe below and full detailed recipe on HBH - link in profile. ..
1. Rub the chicken with 1 tbs olive oil, 1 tbs fresh thyme, and season generously with salt and pepper. Sprinkle lightly with flour.2. Cook 4 slices bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Drain onto paper towels.3. Add the chicken to the pan and sear on both sides until golden. Remove the chicken from the pan. Drizzle with olive oil and add 1 onion, cooking until fragrant. Add 2 tbs butter, 4 cups fresh corn, 2 cloves garlic, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Cook 5 minutes, until the corn is golden.
5. Reduce the heat to medium low and pour 3/4 cup white wine and 1/2 cup water. Add the chicken to the skillet.  Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through. Stir in 1/2 cup cream (or canned coconut milk) and 1/2 cup parmesan. Remove from the heat and top with bacon. Serve with fresh thyme and basil. • Corn, Tomato, and Avocado Chickpea Salad. The quick fix salad that’s almost no-cook and comes together in minutes. Grab that can of chickpeas from the pantry, some fresh cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers, all your favorite herbs, feta cheese (because every salad needs cheese...), and an avocado. Make a caramelized shallot vinaigrette…toss it all together, and done. Best late summer salad. Shared the recipe on HBH last week. What Monday night needs most. Recipe up on HBH today - linked in profile. PS. You can make these in the slow cooker OR on the stove too.
