Chocolate Reindeer Cupcakes

Of course, Rudolph and his friends are covered in whipped chocolate frosting that tastes almost mousse like and then decorated with chocolate covered pretzels, mini Nilla Wafers and M&Ms. Seriously, I never knew Reindeer could taste so good! Honestly though these are […]

So I bake. Like a lot. Maybe more than I cook. Probably way too much, for the normal person that is. There are a lot of us in this house (but you already know this). We like our chocolate (again, I am sure you have figured this out by now). Creaming butter, whipping cream, melting […]

When honestly visions of candy cane cinnamon rolls popped into my thoughts. Umm, is this weird that I think about candy cane cinnamon rolls as I am hiking? Ah yeah, I thought so. […]

Spaghetti Squash Pancakes

Why should leftover turkey have all the fun? Every year at Thanksgiving we always have spaghetti squash. I do not know why. Maybe it is because no one other than dad and I like brussel sprouts and green beans or maybe it is because I had an obsession with it five years ago and ate […]

So, the other day I went to Costco………..And I bought a lot. A whole lot of bourbon! Does anyone else buy Bourbon by the half-gallon? So, yeah I do not drink. Like at all, never tried the stuff, nor do I plan to. I have many reasons for this, but we will save that for another time. […]

  • Without a doubt this garlic butter creamed corn chicken is my go-to dinner right now. It's that time of year when I have more corn than I know what to do with. Anyone else?!? Couldn't love this skillet dinner more. video really say's it all.  If you haven't yet, you must make this before summers end. Recipe below and full detailed recipe on HBH - link in profile. ..
1. Rub the chicken with 1 tbs olive oil, 1 tbs fresh thyme, and season generously with salt and pepper. Sprinkle lightly with flour.2. Cook 4 slices bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Drain onto paper towels.3. Add the chicken to the pan and sear on both sides until golden. Remove the chicken from the pan. Drizzle with olive oil and add 1 onion, cooking until fragrant. Add 2 tbs butter, 4 cups fresh corn, 2 cloves garlic, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Cook 5 minutes, until the corn is golden.
5. Reduce the heat to medium low and pour 3/4 cup white wine and 1/2 cup water. Add the chicken to the skillet.  Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through. Stir in 1/2 cup cream (or canned coconut milk) and 1/2 cup parmesan. Remove from the heat and top with bacon. Serve with fresh thyme and basil. Enjoy! #eeeeeats #howisummer #summerrecipes #buzzfeast #recipevideo
  • Corn, Tomato, and Avocado Chickpea Salad. The quick fix salad that’s almost no-cook and comes together in minutes. Grab that can of chickpeas from the pantry, some fresh cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers, all your favorite herbs, feta cheese (because every salad needs cheese...), and an avocado. Make a caramelized shallot vinaigrette…toss it all together, and done. Best late summer salad. Shared the recipe on HBH last week. Grab the link in my profile. #eeeeeats #feedfeed #howisummer #summerrecipes #imsomartha #easyrecipes
  • (weeknight style) Instant Pot BBQ Beer Pulled Chicken Tacos…with spicy avocado ranch and sweet corn slaw. Because loaded tacos are just better. These might be a little different, but hear me out because these tacos are saucy, spicy, loaded with creamy avocado ranch style sauce, corn slaw, n' things. Nothing boring, all things really good. What Monday night needs most. Recipe up on HBH today - linked in profile. PS. You can make these in the slow cooker OR on the stove too. Directions on HBH. #eeeeeats #feedfeed #f52grams #buzzfeast #imsomartha #howisummer
  • Peaches and Cream Pretzel Pie 🍑 what August Sunday's are truly made for. LOVE this pie. It's sweet, buttery, salty, and so creamy. If you hit up the farm stand this weekend, this is what you should make with those juicy peaches. Promise. It's a GOOD idea. Recipe on HBH - link in profile.
