Salted Pretzel Nutella Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest{my favorite Salted Pretzel Nutella Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches}

Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post!

Happiest Sunday guys!! What are you all up to today? I’m spending the day hanging with Kai and Cait. We’re working on new videos for the site and are hoping to bang out a bunch today. Kai was supposed to fly in on Thursday, but the massive snowstorm we had (almost 3 feet!) delayed them and they didn’t end up getting to CO until late last night. That means filming on a Sunday. It’s cool though because working with these two doesn’t feel so much like work. <–love that. Don’t forget to let me know if there are any recipes you guys are dying to see be made into videos. Still taking requests!

Alrighty, I hope you guys are all having a great weekend. Here are some of my favorites for the week!

1. As I’ve mentioned many times this week, my family and I were in San Diego last weekend for my cousin Abby’s graduation. We had so much fun and it’s always so nice to spend time with the fam. My brother Kai ended up taking a ton of photos and I put them all in a post for you guys! You can check out all the details here. <–super fun lifestyle post, so check it out! Below is my favorite photo. Pure happiness.

2. A few places I have been around the web:

…Ever walk into the grocery store wondering what the heck to buy? What’s healthy? What is this or that ingredient? Is this really good for me? Here is a great post with tips from some of my favorite nutrition peeps on how to read nutrition labels. PS. my tip is number eighteen.

…Hosting a late spring/summer brunch? I created one of my favorite brunch spreads for my friends at Crate and Barrel. It’s complete with french toast, caprese eggs, flower cupcakes, and palomas. Get all the details here.

…in need of a good cocktail? Loving these Hibiscus Peach Mint Juleps and popsicles.

3. Favorite outdoor space I’m loving: this beautiful patio of Emily Henderson. Oh my gosh, how stunning is this patio? It’s kind of my dream outdoor space. And that tile?! Dying over that tile, it’s just so pretty. If you need home decor inspiration, Emily is my go-to source. She’s awesome, so check her out.

4. Book on my reading list: American Kingpin

Has anyone read this? It came highly recommended to me and I am super curious about it. I mentioned in my last favorites post, I’d like to try to read a few books this summer, so I’m thinking of starting with this. Let me know if you guys have read it!

5. New videos: blackened salmon burgers with herbed cream cheese. Also known as the perfect burger for Memorial Day weekend. Just sayin’.

Also, I did a really fun Facebook Live this week and made these blackberry swirl muffins with honey butter, and this blackberry bourbon smash. You can watch it below! PS. I left the giveaway open, so you still have a chance to win this pretty marble serving board. I will choose a winner Monday morning!

6. Memorial Day is a week from tomorrow and I totally have all things summer on the brain…clearly trying to push that snow that’s on the ground outta of my thoughts. Here are Five of my favorite summertime grilling recipes.

  1. You are so talented …and so young…I had no idea..
    I’m a Granni who gets into cooking …in a creative way…
Therefore enjoy ? looking forward to your blog
Keep up the good work, for all of us,
Gonna bake the muffins for breakfast
    Take care,
    Sandi

  2. The muffins look awesome – and topped with honey butter – YUM!!!

It was glorious here this weekend in the east – cooled down thankfully from the 80’s last week. I took my first course at the Culinary Institute of America – it was amazing – took the chocolate course hoping to get a chef’s perspective on tempering, only that wasn’t on the agenda – bummer. Did make many other things and most importantly learned a lot.

My favorite summer thing to make is grilled pizza – the entire family adores it and it’s fun when everyone makes their own topping creations.

Thanks for all your hard work! I love opening my computer in the morning to see what awesome creation you devised for us!

    1. I heard it was so warm in the East from my friends and family over there! So jealous, its been a bit cold over here! That is so awesome that you took your first culinary course. I would definitely take the chocolate course as well haha. Oh and pizza nights are one of my favorites as well! It is super fun to have something that everyone enjoys! Anyway, I am so glad you like this recipe and my blog! Thank you Rose!!

  3. That patio is stunning! (Pinning immediately, of course!) And I’m so with you on all things summer.. I can’t wait to make your balsamic peach salad as soon as the local peaches are ripe!

    1. Oh my gosh peaches are one of my favs! That sounds so yummy!! I am so glad you are loving that patio too! Thank you Laura!

  4. I tried to post something, but it didn’t show up. Here is goes again!

Love Sundays and your list of favorites! I look up every sing item. Such an indulgence for me!

I love making antipasto dishes in the summer. Especially the one you recently made for Easter brunch. You don’t have to turn the oven on and the combination of flavors and textures are divine. Add a glass of wine and I’m in heaven!

  5. Love Sundays and your list of favorite things! I look up every single thing. Such an indulgence for me!

I love making antipasto dishes during the summer! Especially the one you featured this past Easter for brunch. You don’t need to turn the stove on and the combination of flavors and textures are divine. Add a glass of wine and I’m in heaven!

  6. Those peaches look lovely!
It’s already hot and muggy down here in Florida. Would love some cool weather for a change!

  7. I could not possibly choose a favorite summer recipe! However, recipes involving cherries, peaches, berries, lemon, herbs, fresh tuna,….never mind! Still cannot narrow it down!!!

  8. Your nine favorite things are the highlight to my Sundays! I have a 10 month old who won’t sleep independently so it’s a breath of fresh air to read through your post during nap time <3 I make one of your recipes at least once a week!! The whole roasted chicken with grapes and goat cheese has become a family tradition in the fall and I'm making the sweet tea chicken sandwiches tomorrow for dinner! One of my absolute favorites is the green posole, thank you so much for inspiring the world through your writing and cooking!

  9. Couldn’t find where to “enter” for the giveaway, so here’s my favorite: I love to make peach pie from the wonderful South Carolina peaches. I make a vodka crust (from a Cook’s Illustrated recipe) and cover the bottom of the crust with a rolled out disk of almond paste. Peaches with lemon juice and mascerated with sugar … a little cornstarch to thicken, and a lattice crust sprinkled with turbinado sugar. *sigh*

  10. I love the ” Nine Favorite Things” on Sundays. It’s different and fun!
    Thank you!
Also, I’m happy to see you on your Facebook live video. Your wonderful personality comes across, and it’s delightful to see you.

  11. I enjoy Cucumber Lemonade Drink in the summer. Add 1 cucumber to your blender and strain. Mix into your lemonade in about 1 part cucumber juice to 2 parts Lemonade mix liquid.

I recently tasted Mexican Corn on the Cob and it was very good!
Grill or bake the corn in a preheated 350F/180C oven for 25 minutes.
Let the corn cool until you can handle it and peel the husk back.
Spread butter on the corn followed by mayonnaise.
Sprinkle on the cotija cheese and season with cayenne pepper to taste.
    Serve with a lime wedge.

  12. Yum, I’m in Australia though, so the days are getting colder. Already wishing for Summer though, oh well, there’s something to look forward to. I personally love making an Asian Watermelon Salad, which is sweet, sour and salty all at the same time. It is also cool and watery which is great in summer.
Yay! thankyou for all your wonderful recipes.
