Today I am sharing our 2021 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner Menu. This year’s holiday menu focuses on the traditional recipes my family loves most, but includes a few new ones too. Our dinners are complete with cocktails, appetizers, sides, mains, and, of course, sweet desserts too. Bonus? I decided to share what we’ll be having for breakfast too…there’s certainly never too much food at Christmastime!
I am very late with this, but so many of you requested menus for this year. So I’m sharing some ideas with you below! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with plenty of good food!
Christmas eve dinner menu
Cocktails
I usually make one or two drinks on Christmas Eve…sometimes more if requested.
Appetizers
I make Chex Mix early in the day for everyone to snack on. Then I serve one to two appetizers before dinner.
Baked Gruyère in Pastry with Rosemary and Garlic
Crispy Bacon Wrapped Parmesan Brussels Sprouts
Dinner
I always do beef tenderloin as our main, but I also include a nice vegetarian option as well! This year, we’re actually doing ribeyes from Five Mary’s, but I’m simply searing them in skillet with a little butter, garlic, and shallots. Super, super simple. So I’m also sharing my go-to tenderloin!
Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Mushrooms and White Wine Cream Sauce
Creamy French Onion and Mushroom Soup
Crispy Parmesan Thyme Sweet Potato Stacks
Shredded Brussels Sprout and Prosciutto Salad
Pull Apart Christmas Tree Garlic Bread
Dessert
Christmas day dinner menu
Cocktails
Spicy Pomegranate Ginger Paloma
Appetizers
I always do a cheese board, I’ll be sharing a new one tomorrow!
Whipped Goat Cheese with Warm Candied Bacon and Dates
Pastry Wrapped Cranberry Baked Brie
Dinner
We’re doing Mexican this year!
Crispy Chipotle Sweet Potato Tacos with Lime Crema
Crispy Chipotle Chicken Tacos with Cilantro Lime Ranch
OR I LOVE to make lasagnas on Christmas. Below are my favorites!
4 Cheese Sage Pesto Florentine Lasagna
Roasted Garlic Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Boats
Stuffed Spaghetti Squash 4 Cheese Pesto Lasagna
Dessert
Easy Vanilla Bean Christmas Lights Cookies
Breakfast
For Breakfast, I like to make dishes that I can have baking in the oven while we open gifts. No need to spend the morning in the kitchen, relax and enjoy time with family!
Brown Butter Iced Mocha Cinnamon Rolls
Easy Fluffy Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls
Lastly, if you make any of the dishes from Our 2021 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner Menu, be sure to leave a comment and/or give this recipe a rating! Glad you’re in the world !
Thanks Kammy:)
Happy New Year Tieghan!
I made the ham and cheese croissant bake for New Years morning! It was delicious and easy to assemble partially in advance the day before. It was a toss up between the eggnog and gingerbread cinnamon rolls, but my love for gingerbread this time of year swayed me to make those for Christmas morning! I love your recipes and always look forward to seeing what you’re making!

Thank you so much Jessica! I appreciate you trying so many recipes! Merry Christmas!
So far this week, I have made your popovers with the rosemary, your apple cinnamon rolls and your chicken and wild rice soup. We are doing a menu similar to yours in reverse. The tacos on Christmas eve and the beef tenderloin with lobster on Christmas day. Have really enjoyed making your recipes. Have one of your cookbooks and asked Santa for another one. Thank you and Merry Christmas?
Hi Mary,
Wow! That is truly amazing! Thank you for trying so many recipes and being here, I appreciate your support! Have a very Merry Christmas! xTieghan
Your crème brûlée baked French toast is currently soaking in my fridge. My daughter has informed me that I will not get in the door on Christmas morning without your eggnog cinnamon rolls (although I will be trying out the iced mocha rolls for my husband and myself for New Year’s morning). We have made many of your Mexican-inspired dishes as well. THANK YOU for such wonderful, delicious, homey content! It’s truly been a salve for these past couple of years. MERRY CHRISTMAS, GERARDS! #GoRedBeijing22

Lol no worries, I knew what you meant!
My goodness that is a lot of different food to prepare. How do you get it all fixed and it begot at the same time? I admire you for being willing to cook so much. It makes me tired just to think of it. HA!! You are young though…
Hi Charlotte,
It does require a lot of time in the kitchen, there are some items that can be prepped ahead, you just do what works for you:) xTieghan
Merry Christmas to you and your family!!! Wouldn’t be Christmas without the Santa Claus cookies. The cutest. Also tried the Christmas monster cookies. Wow!!!! Seriously addicting.xo
Thank you so much Niki! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! xTieghan

Thanks so much!!
I’m doing a HBH Christmas menu! I’m worried about the tenderloin… never done one before. My tenderloin is thick on one end and gets skinnier. Is that how yours started? I feel like I see twine in ur photo, can you explain that a bit to me?
Also, do you cover it in the oven?
Thank you so much for taking time to answer!!!
Hey Johna!! I would recommend tying the tenderloin to help with even cooking. If you have a butcher, have them do it! Linking a great video below 🙂
No need to cover it in the oven. Merry Christmas!!
We are having a very Half-Baked Harvest Christmas dinner this year! For Christmas breakfast I’m trying out the ham and cheese croissant bake. Dinner will be roasted beef tenderloin with french onion au jus, the squash, fig and feta salad, creamed spaghetti squash, and brown sugar maple cookie pie. Thanks for elevating our cooking this year, Tieghan!
Hey Kuleigh,
Wow! That is so great to hear, I hope your family loves all of the recipes. Have a very Merry Christmas! xTieghan
