If you couldn’t tell, the holidays are incredibly special to me. This year, more than ever. It’s been a year filled with travel, not really having a home base, and life moving in so many different directions. After more than nine months away, we’re finally home for the holidays. Being here has never felt more special.
I know nothing will be perfect, and I’m really trying to embrace that. I just want to enjoy the season for what it is. Easier said than done! But with very little travel planned over the next couple of months, I’m finally settling in. I’m looking forward to what I hope will be the very best time of year.
When everyone is home for the holidays, my family gathers around the dinner table every single night. I cook more food than you could probably imagine, and I genuinely love every minute of it. There’s something so special about cooking for the people I love most. Having everyone together around the table brings me so much happiness.
Thankfully, I keep the recipes simple and use shortcuts whenever I can. Some nights I’m mixing up festive cocktails. Other days I’m baking batches of cookies to share. And of course, there are always big family dinners. It’s a lot of cooking, but these are some of my very best recipes. Having everyone around to enjoy them makes it all worthwhile!
And of course, all the holiday cocktails and mocktails! I love having a festive drink to share when everyone is together.
Oh, and please don’t skip my Molten Chocolate Crackle Pie. It’s one of those desserts everyone gets excited about. SO GOOD.
What about you? Have any of these recipes become part of your Thanksgiving traditions? I’d love to know what you’re making year after year!
November is all about gathering with family and friends and making the recipes we love most. It’s also about getting excited for the holidays ahead! Maybe you’re planning your Thanksgiving menu or hosting friends for dinner. Or perhaps you’re just looking for something delicious to make tonight. Whatever the occasion, I hope you find a few new favorites!
‘Tis the season for cooking, baking, and sharing good food with the people we love!
