Parmesan Garlic Zucchini Whole Wheat Focaccia Buns

I figured I should post these soon. I mean the Fourth of July is Thursday, and that’s got to be one of the most popular days of the year for a bun. Plus these buns are better than any of those store-bought buns.

S’more Doughnut Sandwich With Easy Homemade Beer Marshmallows

Did you guess this was coming? Making doughnut s’mores was honestly the whole reason why I made the Graham Crackers Doughnuts. The minute the idea popped into my head, I knew I had to make them.

Mini Brown Sugar Glazed Graham Cracker Doughnuts

Can we talk about vacations?   Just for a second. I promise cause I am sure one of my brothers will need a sandwich, some buffalo sauce for their chicken dogs, a glass of milk, chocolate milk or more likely a cold beer within the half hour. Ah huh, that is what my vacation looks […]

Healthy Loaded Cheddar + Blue Cheese Buffalo Chicken Dogs

How do you guys feel about hot dogs? Personally, my family is not all that into them. See, I love idea of hots dogs. Grilling them over fire and all the endless toppings. I mean these loaded cheddar hots dogs and these CajunAndouille hot dogs are pretty awesome. It’s the dog part we don’t really like.

Blistered Tomato Grilled Toast Caprese Nachos with Balsamic Glaze

Yes, this is real. Caprese nachos are a real thing. A real, cheesy, hot, crunchy, tomatoey, fresh basily thing. Also a twenty-minute thing. Also a no oven, no heating up the house thing too, if you choose.

Sugared Brown Butter Vanilla Bean Popcorn Chocolate Cupcakes

It’s crunch time. Literally. I have got less than twenty-four house till I leave on a 6:00am flight tomorrow morning. That means I need to be up and out of here by 3:00am for the hour and half drive down to Denver, where I then have to park the car and catch a shuttle to […]

Chopped Asian BBQ Chicken Salad with Honey-Sesame Crackers

Today, I have so many thoughts. Thoughts about this salad, thoughts about summer, thoughts about South Carolina, thoughts about Oregon, thoughts about my photos, thoughts about my thoughts. Okay and thoughts about fruit, but that’s a given.

Blackened Salmon with Cheesy Polenta and Spicy Peach + Chard Corn Salsa

You guys I love my fruit salsas. To be honest I have not always been a fan of salsa. Before this year I never even went near the stuff. I was a “don’t let that lime juice, cheese, or whatever else, come near my fruit”, kind of girl. If I wanted a peach, I just […]

Giant Hot Fudge Ice Cream Sundae Cookies

These cookies owned me. They whooped my little butt. They beat me down till I just could not make another batch. This is the third batch you are looking at. Yes, I made three full batches of these cookies in less than twenty-four hours. Twenty-four hours! And no, it was not because I ate them […]

  • (healthy…ish) Homemade Samoas Cookies. No offense to the Girl Scouts, but it's true what they say, homemade is BEST. And guys? These. Are. GOOD. Think buttery shortbread, sweet and creamy "caramel" with plenty of toasty coconut, and generously dipped + drizzled chocolate. Best part? Made minus weird ingredients, zero is yeast involved, no white flour, and easy too. Just add flaky salt for a salty, sweet cookie. Trust me. Recipe on HBH today - linked in profile. PS. what's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?
  • Goat Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates with a good drizzle of Rosemary Honey (hinted with cayenne). Guys. Let's switch things up a bit and make stuffed dates. My hope is you have everything in your kitchen to make them now. Dates? Goat (or feta) cheese? Bacon? Honey? Any freaking herb (fresh or dried)? Cool. You've got everything you need. So let's make cheesy stuffed dates. One thing? Maybe double the recipe. Fair warning...these a highly addictive little snack. Recipe link in profile.
  • One Skillet Cheesy Cuban..ish (inspired) Chicken and Rice Bake. Seasoned up chicken, rice, peppers, black beans, + tomatoes all cooked together in one skillet, topped with plenty of cheese, then baked until melty. It's not traditional, but just my fun twist and it's very good. And cozy...because cheesy baked rice is the best kind of (pantry staple) comfort food. Recipe on the blog today - linked in profile. One tip? Just add a fun cocktail cause why not? Anything goes when stuck at home :)
  • Berry and Cream Cheese Croissant French Toast Bake. Word is that everyone is out of yeast? No worries. Let’s bake French toast instead. Preferably this one with flaky croissants, sweet jam + pockets of cream cheese (yupp pockets of cream cheese). It's good and it’s easy. Do you have bread (croissants are best, but please use what you got) + frozen berries in the freezer? Jam in the pantry? Cool you have everything you need to bake this up. And you should because it's the BEST French toast. Bold, but true. Recipe linked in profile. Get at it and enjoy 🍓
