Happy Sunday!! Checking in today with another round of my “nine favorite things”!

Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest

{my favorite outtake from this strawberry chamomile paloma}

I hope everyone’s weekend is going great! I’ve been spending mine getting a bit ahead on some things (hello picking up the house, laundry and doing the “life” things that get pushed to the wayside during the work week). I’ve also been preparing for a fun shoot I have planned for today! Unfortunately, the weather has been pretty cold and doing this on off snowing thing, so for the most part, I’ve kept myself inside…which I’m trying to stay positive about ?. I just keep telling myself that I will be in California mid in May and can soak up the sunshine then!

So what are you guys up too?

Hoping your weekend is full of good food, friends, and family! Speaking of family, mine headed to Aspen for the weekend. My little sister Asher is currently on spring break and my younger brother Red has a video shoot all week in Aspen, so they decided to make a bit of a vacay out of it, and head over to watch. Pretty different from the spring breaks we had growing up, but hey, it’s a new era I guess…but umm, for real Florida was the best.

Anyway, I’m excited to be back sharing a few of my favorite things. I love writing these post, so I hope you guys are enjoying them! I have some fun stuff planned for the coming week, starting with a big, bright and flavor packed salad tomorrow. Have a great Sunday guys!

1. When I recently came across Jessica Alba’s newly redesigned Honest Company offices, my jaw literally dropped. I mean, who would not want to work in an office like this one? It’s a stunning space and is providing a lot of inspiration for a project that I am working on behind the scenes. The custom-made wood tables are one of my favorite pieces of the space. And well, the outside seating area and bar…perfect place for colleagues to gather on Fridays after work to relax and enjoy some Margaritas. <– love that idea.

2. I’m going to be traveling the first couple weeks in May and this means new warm-weather clothes are an absolute must. Here are a few pieces I order and LOVED:

this one piece jean jump suite…it’s everything! It’s super 70’s, but looks so cute on.

loving this simple yellow tee…having a major moment with yellow right now.

picturing this body suit with these shorts, and these shoes.

this flowy skirt has summer written all over it.

loving the deep V in this dress.

PS. a few of these pieces my mom actually got me. She’s the cutest and sweetest mom ever, and continues to make all of her kids Easter baskets every year…and yes, all of us except Asher (who is 8) and Red (who is 16) are over the age of 20. This year she went above and beyond and even got me some clothes for some upcoming events that I have. Best mom ever award.

Bonus: love this natural make up look

3. This hasn’t been announced yet, but I’ll let you guys in on a little secret…we are working on a complete Half Baked Harvest redesign, and while the new site is not launching for a while, we’ve already been working on designing the new look for a couple of months now. The current task is a new logo…SO I found this article on the 50 most iconic brand logos of all time really interesting. My mom sent it over to try to help spark some ideas, but really, I just loved looking at the evolution of the brands logos. Kind of cool to see how they all developed over the years. My very favorite is the old school Pepsi logo from 1898. What’s yours?

4. Summer is quickly approaching which has me thinking easy meals and tons of fun appetizers. I was scrolling through the site the other day and came to the conclusion that I just do not have enough appetizer recipes on this site. I’ve been wracking my brain for days trying to come up with some new dips, toast, and snack style eats for the spring and summer, but I’m dying to know what type of appetizers you guys would like to see? Taking request starting now…and GO.

PS. this antipasto platter, this tomato tart and this burrata with marinated tomatoes are three of my favorite appetizers. Like ever, OKOK, plus all the apps and that giant cheeseboard I have in the HBH cookbook…muahahaha.

5. New videos:

simple chocolate birthday cake with whipped chocolate buttercream…this is my GO-TO cake. Nothing beats it.

honey garlic butter shrimp…huge favorite around here.

chili lime salmon fajita salmon salad…one of my favorite salads…so colorful and flavorful.

whole wheat spinach and artichoke pizza…it’s whole, so pizza night is on repeat all week.

strawberry chamomile paloma…the perfect spring cocktail.

6. I’ve never been able to get into yoga, it’s just a bit slow paced for me, but this easy yoga routine has me intrigued. Apparently, it burns more calories than a twenty-minute run, hmmmm. Do you love yoga? Or do you have another favorite workout?

7. Need a break from social media? Love this 6-Step Social Media Diet.

8. Favorite pin of the week: this gorgeous flower arrangement. I need them.

  1. I LOVE the backsplash in the kitchen in those offices! Gorgeous! I could totally work there all day every day too!

  2. Awww, now I know your the boss and it’s totally up to you to work how you want, but honestly…i kinda….i kinda like your logo the way it is…*sorry pls don’t hate me >.<*

  3. The link to the history of logos is so cool and spot on!!!!
I am such a geek for logos! Looking at retro neon signs pinned to Pinterest is so FUN!
It just so happens that my business is in the midst of developing 3 new logos….Tieghan!!!!! This helps us so much bc there are lessons to be learned…even from Madison Avenue…..(Mad Men) 😉 FYI…You just never know where one link will lead someone…..Thanks so much for sharing your favorite finds.

    1. Right!? That was so interesting!
Some old logos are just so cool! Wow how funny your looking for new logos too!! So happy you liked the links, thanks Tiffany!

  4. That flower arrangement is too pretty and I love your dinner ideas – that spring pea pasta needs to happen this week!

  5. Love the dinner ideas. I’m diebetic – I would like to see more recipes with reduced sugar intake – not calorie free, just less sugar.

  6. A new blog theme! Wow – what a mission Tieghan. I found the logo page very interesting, isn’t it strange that for the ones with ‘real’ objects they get less and less realistic each time? (WWF and Shell). I hope the great content keeps flowing and there isn’t too much stress with all that re-marketing. Best of luck 🙂

  7. T…only one comment about your upcoming changes…. I hope in your ‘new format, etc etc’..you will allow a photo of the finished foody item, when we print out the recipe.
We chatted about this a while ago..so really hoping it is a happening.
Enjoy your travels.. and hug your Mom for me. Having a Mom near by is such a treasure indeed. I so miss mine.
Thank you for being you and all you do for all of us.

    1. Thank Leslie! That is actually a feature we already have…I have just neglected to use it. So sorry! On it now, so keep a look out for photos in the recipe!

Giving my mom a big hug. You are right, it’s the best having her close by! Thanks again!

  8. Love your “nine things!” My mom still makes me an Easter basket too….and I’m 35-years old hahahaha. Sounds like you have an awesome mom too! Have a great weekend! Xoxo
