Hey, hey from South Korea!!

Hey guys, I’m just stopping bye today for a quick post to update you all with what’s been happening here in Korea. Today was an incredibly amazing day. We just returned back to our hotel after watching my younger brother Red make finals after today’s Olympic Men’s Snowboarding Slopestyle Qualifiers. Red qualified third and ended up being the only American to make finals. Pretty Surreal.

I just wanted to share some photos here from the last couple days, including Opening Ceremonies. I’ll be back with another update and more photos from tomorrow’s finals later this week!

Happy Sunday!

  1. How AWESOME to read and to see your family in Korea. Congratulations to Red for winning the GOLD?! The US and Colorado are very proud of his accomplishment. Thank you for sharing photos with us – your followers on this site. It makes me feel like one of your family members.

  2. Congratulations, Red! You were phenomenal! My husband and I were glued to the screen during the finals. That last run was a beautiful redemption and we knew that no matter what you should be proud of it. But to win it all! FANTASTIC! We were out of our seats cheering you on! I can’t wait to see more of you in the competitive circuit!

  3. Wow gold medal!!! So funny since of course I don’t know you, but I feel like I do- so to see Red won a Gold medal made me just cheer out loud in my kitchen!!!
So excited for you and your family.

  4. Congratulations to Red, great job! He even made history, the first gold medal tor an athlete born after 2000. Way to go Red. I was never this happy to have missed the gold to a neighbour American. It was so nice to see Red in the middle of our Canadian boys. Congratulations to all. Hard work paid off. Thanks for sharing the photos, they are great.

  5. As both a long-time HBH reader and a big fan of the Olympic Games, your story is rockin’ my world and I can’t wait to see more blog posts about your experience in South Korea! TV coverage here in the States mentions your family’s impressive presence/support at these Games nearly as often as your brother competes ~ we’re cheering for you all! Congrats to Red on an incredible victory! *USA USA*
