Since I have started writing this blog I have tried a lot of new foods. Short ribs are one of those foods. Until recently, I had never made them, but I am pretty sure they are my new go to food. Basically, I have already made them twice in the last two weeks and no one […]

Steak Fajita Stuffed Baked Potatoes with Avocado Chipotle Crema

SO, I pretty much never cook steak. I am just not really a steak person. If I am going to cook it, it is going to be a really good beef tenderloin with seriously just some salt and pepper, nothing else. Or a rib eye for cheesesteaks, or a flank steak that I seasoned the heck […]

Roasted Harvest Veggie, Curried Avocado + Coconut Rice Bowls

Plus some pomegranates too (if I knew how to do that winking emoji I so would, but I am lame and don’t). So I gotta say, this is kind of the best healthy comfort food I have had in a while. I could totally eat this all week; carbs, coconut, curry, avocado, maple roasted fall […]

How To Deseed A Pomegranate (In Pictures!)

So it is time I tell you about my little addiction with pomegranates. It has been going on hard-core for about three years now. Actually, I only ever tried a pomegranate around three years ago, but all I needed was one handful and I was hooked. Now every year I get crazy excited seeing the […]

Mini Cheddar Sweet Potato and Chorizo Shepherds Pies

Shepherds pie… is it British or Irish? My mom insists Irish, I thought it was British. I did a quick Google search on the topic which mostly pointed towards a British/Scottish origin. Seems the true origin dates back to the Scottish countryside in the 1700’s where the dish was made mostly by the poor from […]

  • One Pot Spicy Pesto Cheese Baked Rigatoni. It’s COLD and a good baked pasta is needed. This one is my go-to right now. Think saucy, but still heavy on the pasta, a touch spicy, with a good amount of seasonings and herbs. The pesto adds creaminess, and all that cheese on top…it’s the best. Major bonus? This is all made in one pot and it’s EASY. Less dishes, no stress, and beyond good. Just what these cold nights need. Recipe up on HBH today - link in profile.
  • Creamed Spaghetti Squash with Browned Butter Walnuts. Yes, creamed spaghetti squash. It's not the usual, but it is very GOOD -- roasted squash + extra creamy cream sauce (swear it taste like melted Brie) that’s swirled with pesto and hinted with garlic + a topping buttery walnuts and crisped sage. Nothing you could not love. Perfect for dinner, perfect as a sides. All around beyond good. And that's all you need to know. Shared the recipe last week - link in profile.
  • Salted Honey Butter Parker House Rolls. Light, airy, buttery, perfectly salted, and best part? Made in under an hour using @fleischmannsyeast . Just one thing? You must serve these warm right out of the oven with that honey butter. Melt in your mouth GOOD. Dramatic, but true. And yes, you should make these for Thanksgiving. They’re perfect for soaking up all that gravy and then eating for breakfast the next morning. There’s nothing not to love. Sharing the recipe on HBH – link in profile. #sponsored
  • Herby Mushroom Croissant Stuffing. So, I'm not a stuffing person. I know, I'm sorry. BUT then everyone asked me to share a Thanksgiving stuffing and this is what I made. It's not classic, but I love it. Why? Buttery croissants, cozy herbs, caramelized wild mushroom, kale, and Gruyère cheese. Basically just taking classic stuffing from bland and boring to flavorful and completely delicious. Bonus? This is just as good for Thanksgiving as it is an easy meal. Shared this recipe last year, but it's on my menu for this Thanksgiving too (which I shared on HBH TODAY) - link for the recipe profile #f52grams #imsomartha #thanksgiving
