Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post.

Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com

I was so excited to get home to Colorado earlier this week. Anyone who knows me closely knows that I am such a homebody and am happiest snuggled into my own bed every night. Of course I love going on vacation and traveling, but there’s nothing quite like coming home. Are any of you guys feel the same way?

When I got home on Tuesday, I was hoping to be refreshed and inspired to dive full speed into the piles of work that had been building up from two weeks away, but getting back into the swing of things has been a lot harder than I had expected. It’s not that I’m having a hard time working, I just could not find my groove in the kitchen, and my first day back cooking was a total wash. Meaning, I didn’t have on successful recipe or take one pretty photo…

Or at least that’s how my brain sees it, but I’m always my harshest critic. Thankfully, I started to get back into things on Friday, and even though my day wasn’t perfect, I am rolling with it, because perfect is totally boring anyway. Let me know if you guys have any tips on getting back into the groove of things after taking some time off!

Anyway, I’m spending the day doing some planning for the week and working on some fun projects.

This week is weird with the 4th falling on Wednesday…

Are you guys taking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off, OR Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, OR just Wednesday?!

Coming up this week on Half Baked Harvest, I’ll be sharing easy, last-minute recipes for the 4th on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday I’ll be taking the day off to celebrate our nation’s birthday. On Thursday I’ll share a farmers market inspired recipe, and I’ll be closing out the week with a sweet tart that’s no bake and perfect for summer.

I’d love to hear what recipes and content you all would love to see from me this month. I always like to hear what it is that you guys are looking for and would love to see from me, so please let me know in the comments!

And as always, if any of you are meal planning today, check out my weekly menu below, and don’t forget to sign up for the HBH newsletter  to get daily updates and exclusive content.

Have a great Sunday and enjoy this week’s favorites!

1. NYC Anthropologie Workshop Recap.

You guys! My NYC workshop last weekend was so incredible. First, I was thrilled that everyone showed up. Whenever I do events like this, I always stress that no one will show up, so when people actually do I am so relived.

Second, it was such a fun workshop and I love meeting everyone who attended. You guys were asking some great questions and I had so much fun sharing my summer tablescape and entertaining tricks. Really hoping to do more workshops and events like this.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the event.

{note that I don’t normally wear all black…so this is weird for me}

All photos Sylvie Rosokoff. Thanks for taking such beautiful photos!

PS. here are some of the products I used to set my summer table.

2. IG TV.

Have you guys seen IGTV yet? Do you love it? Honestly, I’m still exploring it, but I am really excited to start posting some HBH content. I’m thinking up some fun concepts, but I’d really LOVE to hear what you guys would like to see me posting on IGTV.

Do you want fun recipes videos?

  1. I’m watching Queer Eye right now also and I’m a bit obsessed. I added it to my list without knowing what it was but when I found out it was a new version of the original show, I started watching right away as I really liked the original. I like this one even better and I am binge watching ? I want a makeover with them now ?

  2. We’ve been rewatching the Harry Potter series! We’ve watched one for the past two weeks. It’s crazy how young they all look! And I haven’t seen or read the series in forever so it’s almost like I’m watching it all for the first time. You had a great idea in re-reading the series – I may have to, too!

  3. That NY trip looked like so much fun! Wish I could have been there! And YES to the high bun with a cute scarf!
And please, I grew up with HP and Im pretty sure I have read the entire series and embarrassing number of times. But recently I am loving all things by Sarah Maas (if you love fantasy), B.A Paris “Behind Closed Doors” (if you like psychological thrillers), and anything by Kristen Hannah especially “The Great Alone” and “The Nightingale” SO GOOD.

  4. I’d love more fancy, over the top salads and more seafood stuff! That’s what I always want all summer. I definitely make at least 2-3 HBH things literally every week, so thanks for the deliciousness!

  5. Long time follower but first time commenter…You inspire me to get in the kitchen and be creative. I just made your ‘Creamy Curried Cauliflower and Goat Cheese Soup’ from the HBH cookbook, and it is unreal!! Who would think to put goat cheese with curry flavors much less with cauliflower soup? You did, and the result is spectacular. No more boring soup for me. I don’t care that it’s 100 degrees outside, I’ll be inside with air conditioning and the best soup ever. Thanks Tieghan!

  6. Gosh, I loved those flutes in the tablescape. I just broke one of mine recently. Tempting! I like the IG TV…I prefer food related content. As far as new recipes, Grill pan is always good. As are any skillet (one-dish type) recipes. Perhaps a fun skillet dessert. Pasta is always great! The list of fun places brought back memories. I used to work in Solvang many years ago and went through Los Olives back/forth to work. Fun fact: back then that area was mostly horse ranches, now it’s wineries, wineries and wineries. I’ve also been to Natchitches, LA. Very small, cute area. Along that Cane River are huge pecan teees. You can’t see in the pic, but they are massive.

  7. The 4th. Celebrating here in our little town, with a parade which lasts about 3.5 minutes, they then turn around and go back thru, for more photo taking smiles and hugs.
Then traveling to our other home at the coast, for a delayed 4th birthday of a great Friend. Always great food and the Hawaiian roasted hog on the spit, is the grand entree. A few more days there at our place then back to the ranch. Photos look wonderful, but sadly have to eliminate all Tomato, citrus and warm/hot spices for my personal medically induced eating regiment. Will have to make two separate amounts for him and me. Don’t want him to miss the full goodness.
    No place like home.. 🙂

  8. Every week I look forward to your Sunday Post of Nine Favorite Things! Thank you for All your Amazing Posts!!

  9. Your tablescape is gorgeous! Love the dishes!

As for IGTV…. I hate it! Let me explain why. I’m deaf and it’s another thing that’s inaccessible for us deaf people. No closed captions, so I’m wondering what’s gonna happen regarding the legal side of that, you know, equal access for all. Just something to think about; a lot of people don’t consider that live videos or even podcasts are not accessible for everyone out there.

Whatever you do though, I’m sure you’ll rock at it! I love your blog and recipes, thanks so much for sharing such yumminess daily! Recipe idea… maybe like a fruit tart cupcake? I saw some at Butterhorn in Frisco and they looked delish! Happy July and have a wonderful day!

    1. Hi Lauren! Thank you so much for your feedback on this. I did not even realize that those videos are not accessible to all. Also, that sounds like an amazing idea, I’ll have to see if I can remake it!

  10. Hi Tieghan!
I would love to see more grilling recipes with summer sauces, pesto’s, salsa’s, romesco’s, chutney’s etc to add to a grilled protein or salad. You always have such great flavor profiles! I love your blog and reading about all of your adventures!

    Thank you!

    Kristen Berry

  11. I stumbled across your blog a few months ago and have been absolutely loving EVERYTHING about it – recipes, these posts, the videos…! I finally caved and bought the HBH cookbook and am super excited to dive into it as well!
To answer your questions… I would love more grilling recipes (been making yours all summer so far), quick dinner recipes, and make ahead breakfasts! Oh and I love your brunch menus! Thanks for all the amazing content – I would watch all the above options on IG TV.

    1. Thank you Chloe! I hope you absolutely love the recipes in the book and let me know what you make!

  12. Still so bummed that your event wasn’t while I’m in nyc (I’ll be there in a week or so), but I’m so glad to see that it was awesome! And I’m conflicted about IG TV, but definitely keep doing whatever video content you like filming.
