Summer really feels so good right now. I feel so good.
As I write this, I’m sitting outside my house. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and I’m making the most delicious tacos for dinner tonight. We’re having a full Miami Mexican fiesta menu, and honestly, I’m just really enjoying where I am in this season of life.
It’s not all sunshine, and I don’t want to paint some perfect picture. But a shift in focus and a change of environment was needed more than I knew.
I’ve been able to spend so much more time with my sister, my mom, and even my youngest brother. He loves my banana bread, and I’ve been making him vanilla chocolate milk with the Ballerina Farm protein powder. He absolutely loves it. He drinks every last drop and gets so excited about his little chocolate milk stash.
Asher and I spent an afternoon vintage shopping, then ended up having an impromptu lunch in the Miami Design District, complete with non-alcoholic Hugo spritzes. For a moment, we convinced ourselves we should really be in the South of France.
And my mom and I have made our nightly walks a thing. They’ve become my favorite part of the day. I value that time so much and have really tried to soak it all in this week, knowing it’s coming to an end for now.
Today I’m headed to Austin for a week of shooting and filming before coming back home to Miami. I’m excited for Austin, but I already know I’ll be just as happy to return home.
After Austin, we’re planning a fall photoshoot in New York and already beginning preparations for football season, Halloween, and even Thanksgiving. I honestly can’t wrap my head around that because I am fully in summer mode right now.
Lately, I’ve been putting together mood boards for the Fourth of July and having so much fun with them. I’m sharing more of that below because last year we created such a fun spread, but it never really got the attention it deserved. I’m linking everything today because it’s such a cute entertaining story and, hopefully, provides a little inspiration if you’re hosting or celebrating this year.
Aside from that, I don’t have much else to share this week. Things are simply really good right now. Summer is good, work is good, family is good, and I’m feeling excited about all the travel ahead too. I’ll be spending part of July in Europe, and I already have plans taking shape for September as well. It’s always nice to have a few adventures on the calendar to look forward to.
Are any of you traveling this summer? I’d love to know where you’re headed and what adventures you have planned. I’m sharing a few fun travel-inspired finds today as well.
And that’s all I have for this week. I’d love to hear what you’re enjoying most about summer right now!
1. Things Iโm Loving.
lovingโฆCymbiotika has been a favorite of mine for years. My brother recently started taking their Liposomal Glutathione (scroll down) and has loved it, and I regularly take their Omega and probiotic supplements. You can get 15% off my favorites using this link.
lovingโฆI’ve used the Boll & Branch 100% organic cotton sheet set for years now and got a new set for my home in Miami. I love their bath collection too. For our bathrooms, I mixed these bath towels from Lulu and Georgia with the complete bath bundle from Boll & Branch. Both are incredibly soft and high quality. My sister loves them just as much, she got a set too!
everything in my cart (low)โฆanother week, another round of really good Zara finds for summer. The staple tee shirt, white linen trousers, flowy pink dress, and easy flip flops.ย A very fun, summerย woven basket bag, a simple bikini, a little blackย vacation dress, andย heels.ย More pretty pieces below too!
listening toโฆ2026 Future You Project: becoming your best self.
everything in my cart (beauty)โฆyou know how I talked about sunscreen last week? Living in Florida, I have to pay even more attention to my skin and the sun.ย I’ve been learning a lot aboutย UVA and UVB exposure, the best times of day to be outside, and how to protect your skin.ย I don’t love the idea of suncrean, but I’ve been using the Vacation Classic Lotion, and it’s really great. I like the formula/ingredients, and it glides on skin nicely too.
Another area of focus for me is hair care. My dad and I are both currently testing Nutrafol. Iโve always loved my hair and want to maintain its health and, if possible, even improve its thickness. Looking back, hair care is something I never paid much attention to, so Iโm trying to be more intentional about it now. Iโve had a great experience with Nutrafol, but I want to give it more time before drawing any firm conclusions.
Plated’s Hair Serumย contains over 2 trillion exosomes per bottle and is designed to promote fuller, thicker-looking hair. It includes hyaluronic acid and turmeric root extract to hydrate and soothe the scalp. I’ve heard good things, but never tried.

everything in my cart (high)โฆthis is a really pretty Valentinoย Lace-trimmed silk camisole. I love the silhouette, the color, and the button detail down the back. Such a beautiful, timeless piece.
high-low…this Halterneck striped knitted top from Calle Del Mar would be so cute paired with these Madewell vintage mid-length jean shorts. The combination feels effortless, chic, and perfect for summer.
something cute for your home…I spotted this Flores Rug on FWRD this morning and thought it was cute. It’s such a fun piece if you’re looking to add a pop of color and personality to a space. It definitely needs the right spot to shine, but the colors are beautiful, and I think it could make such a statement in a room.
reading…When the Dream Life I Wanted Wasnโt Actually For Me.
This was me. When my mom and I created this website back in 2012, neither of us knew what we were doing. We certainly never imagined that fourteen years later it would become our full-time business. It’s wild. It’s a blessing.
And to this very second, I love this website, this community, and sharing my world with all of you. It’s what I was meant to do.
That being said, I was young when we started. I didn’t know everything then, and I certainly don’t know everything now, but I do know a lot more. Over the last few years, life became increasingly taxing. I’ve never really shared this before, mostly because I wouldn’t let myself fully believe it, but I was burned out.
Colorado is beautiful, and it will always be a part of who I am, but living in the mountains can also be isolating. At some point, I realized I needed to make changesโnot only in how I was living, but also in parts of our business. Both needed room to evolve.
That’s the season I’m in now. It almost feels like beginning again.
I’m thinking more intentionally about the woman I want to be today and the business I want to build moving forward. For the first time in a long time, I’m giving myself permission to redefine both.
I wanted to share this story from Camille in case anyone else is feeling stuck in a life they once thought they wanted. It’s okay to change. It’s okay to outgrow old versions of yourself. We aren’t meant to stay the same forever.
We’re meant to evolve.

4. The 4th Of July BBQ.

Last year for the 4th of July, we created the most fun summer BBQ menu, and Iโm so excited to bring it back again this year!
I absolutely love creating these moments and bringing people together, and I canโt wait to share even more with you soon. New menus, beautiful tablescapes, delicious recipes, and links to all the pieces I use to bring everything to life.
I updated this yearโs 4th of July post with even more links and inspiration this week! As we celebrate Americaโs 250th birthday, it feels like the perfect time to gather with family and friends, fire up the grill, and make some special memories together.
If you’re planning a holiday celebration, definitely take a look through this post. You’ll find entertaining ideas, recipes, and all the details to help make your celebration feel festive, fun, and easy.

Be very careful about giving Oslo protein powder. At his age he only needs about 20grams of protein a day. Most protein powders contain that in one scoop. Too much protein is hard on the kidneys and can actually cause damage to childrenโs developing kidneys. I have seen this first hand as a pediatric nurse.
Thanks so much for looking out, Maryann. I don’t give him a full scoop, just enough to get that chocolate milk flavor:)
Have a great Sunday and thanks for reading!
Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard Fam, and HBH team! I have been loving the Miami content. It looks so beautiful there! Iโm so glad you are enjoying it. I love that you share that itโs not always easy. We are getting set to move to a different country and it has been terrifying and exciting at once. I am just trying to make the most of this journey and realize that nothing is forever. If it doesnโt work out, we can always come back. I hope you have a great trip to Austin. Fall content prep already! Time sure does fly. Have a wonderful week ahead!
Hey Jen,
Thanks for reading today! So glad you have been enjoying the Miami content, it has been a nice change for me as well, even with the bumps along the way:) Wow, a different country?! That’s amazing, I am wishing you all the best on your move! Have a great Sunday!
