It’s wacky to me how quickly time goes. I think we all feel that. But as scary as it can be, September is the start of my favorite season. I say this every year, but I really do come alive in September. There’s something about this season that always feels full of magic and miracles.

And this year, I’m entering my season only looking forward.

There is still so much uncertainty in my life, but at the same time, I’m finding so much clarity. I’ve been given this wonderful space in my life right now, and I think I really needed it. I have something fun I’ll be sharing with you soon. And beyond that, there’s a fall dinner story coming your way mid-September and some traveling ahead.

I’ve spent a lot of this week really sitting with my own thoughts, something I’ve never felt very comfortable doing. Because it can be uncomfortable. My mind naturally wants to race ahead, figure everything out, and have all the answers.

But instead of running from that discomfort, I’m trying to sit with it and approach it with more intention.

I’m learning to let go of the worrying, to be more aware of my thoughts and reactions, and to trust that things will work out. To trust that the path I’m on is meant for me, even if I don’t understand every part of it right now.

There is so much love and light in my life. I know that, and leaning into that belief has brought me a sense of peace.

When my mind starts to worry, I’m trying not to immediately run with it. Instead, I’m working to find the good. What can I learn? What is this moment giving me? Maybe there’s a blessing in the situation that I just can’t see yet.

I’m putting more trust in the unknown and finding ease in not having every answer. Maybe I’m here, in this exact place and season of life, for a purpose—to become more comfortable with my own thoughts, to trust myself, and to remember that I have endless light within me and so much love surrounding me.

I’ve been riding my bike (well, my brother’s bike, and it’s no Ferrari, but it gets me from point A to B) to Pura Vida just to sit and work. Side note, everyone who works at this particular location is wonderful. Getting out of my environment and changing my space has felt so refreshing. I ride there in the heat of the day, then home as the evening cools down.

No podcast, no music in my ears. Just like my morning walks. Just my thoughts, my eyes, and noticing the natural beauty around me.

It’s been my unexpected joy this week. Finding beauty and a blessing in every single day.

As we move into September, I still don’t have many answers. But I’m realizing I don’t need them all right now. I trust it will work out.

I’m learning to move with the flow of the light. To notice it, appreciate it, and trust where it leads me.

And today, that light feels especially bright. It’s a very special day, celebrating a very special girl in my life. She was my light eighteen years ago today, and she always will be. Happy Birthday, Asher. I’m so proud of you!

1. Things I’m Loving.

Wearing

Most of you are probably not in the fall mindset yet, I get it. It’s ninety degrees and HOT, but I’m already heavy into fall fashion.

I live in a hoodie when the weather chills. Free People has great zip-ups. I have this zip-up hoodie in black and love it for travel days. I also have my eye on this VintageSoft Hoodie from Gap. It’s on sale, so I might grab another color!

For fall hikes, especially in Colorado, I always throw on a warm fleece. The second temperatures dip, I’ll be wearing this quarter zip fleece from The North Face. Even in Florida, you never know, I might need it! I also love this fleece jacket from Halfdays. I can already tell it will be a fall/winter staple.

If you have a September wedding, this pretty embellished dress would be so cute for a rehearsal dinner or even the big day. It really just depends on your vibe!

Now, splurge time! My favorite. There are so many chic coats coming out for fall. I’m already envisioning New York trips wearing at least one or two. A great coat can totally level up an outfit.

I love this Marc Jacobs cropped cargo parka. Cute, right? I’d style it simply with jeans and boots.

Nour Hammour always has the best coats. This new Hadley calf hair jacket is very chic. Think October, November, even Thanksgiving! And this leather jacket is a little more casual for everyday.

For something at a better price point, Zara has this really GOOD quality 100% leather long trench. Such a great fall find.

My mom would look so cute in this Free People Denim Cropped Jacket. I can totally see her wearing this.

Both myself and my love a nice scarf. She wears them year-round, even in Miami, where she’ll throw on a light cashmere scarf inside because everyone loves to blast the AC. For fall, I adore this Loewe fringed wool and cashmere scarf. I actually love the look of layering the two together—so cozy and cute. And yes, I know, they’re both VERY pricey. Definitely splurge pieces, but such a pretty look!

Another Loewe love is this new whisker leather shoulder bag. Such a cute shape and a good size.

Fall wedding season is my favorite. If I do someday get married, I’m planning a September wedding. I wish I had a wedding this season because I would wear this halter scarf maxi dress. So pretty.

Last piece, I promise. I want to style this poplin vest with jeans and a great boot this season!

Listening to

I told you all I was listening to A Really Good Cry, and I’m enjoying it so much. Earlier this week, I listened to an episode about the ancient Ayurvedic concept of Ojas, the idea of deep nourishment that creates vitality, glowing skin, and a confident energy you can feel in someone the moment they walk into a room. That’s the girl I strive to be.

I connect so much with Ayurvedic practices. What’s interesting is that I’ve naturally followed pieces of this lifestyle without even realizing it. Learning more about Ayurveda recently has been so exciting and has even sparked new thoughts around food and recipes.

What I love most is that it doesn’t feel like another wellness trend. It’s really a way of living—looking deeper, understanding what your body needs, and slowly and consistently nourishing yourself from the inside out.

The episode isn’t too long either, so even if you’re only here for some glowy skin, I’d give it a listen.

And something fun because I feel like every podcast I’ve shared lately has been wellness-focused! The girls at Lipstick on the Rim recently had Annie Meyers-Shyer, Nancy Meyers’ daughter, on. Annie started her fashion career as an accessories editor at Harper’s Bazaar before moving to LA and working in West Coast PR for Chanel. She eventually transitioned into the interiors world, creating This Oak House. She talks about her design philosophy, her approach to interiors, and, of course, growing up surrounded by all that Nancy Meyers magic. It’s a fun listen and a nice change of pace!

Dreaming of Going To

Since learning more about Ayurveda through A Really Good Cry, I’ve been wanting to explore India. And of course, Vogue then shared this historic royal palace in Khajuraho.

Khajuraho, in Madhya Pradesh, is known for its incredible temples, architecture, and intricate carvings. This 350-year-old restored palace overlooks beautiful gardens and a lake and looks effortlessly stunning. My mom loves history, and I know she would love staying here. Adding it to the travel list!

And then there are the Tierras Villas in Crete. Goop has the best travel recommendations. There are five private villas built into the hillside overlooking the Cretan Sea, each with its own infinity pool, plus access to the wellness spaces at Acro Suites. This looks like such a dream.

Around My Home

Don’t roll your eyes, but I broke out my Halloween mugs this week. I just needed some spookiness! I love the Molly Hatch Stoneware Halloween collection. The Devil Dog and Jack-O-Lantern are especially cute, and they’re all on sale!

We need a drink fridge. The amount of drinks taking over the everyday fridge is too much. I keep seeing this Rocco drink fridge everywhere, and people seem to love it. Do any of you have one? I’m curious!

I cook almost exclusively with cast iron. You guys know this, but I still get so many questions about it. Everyone seems intimidated by cast iron, but I promise, it’s one of my secrets to really good food, and it’s so easy to care for. I usually just rinse mine, rarely scrub it, and let it dry on the stove.

Made In just launched a pre-seasoned cast iron collection that takes away a lot of the intimidation. It arrives already seasoned, so you can pretty much start cooking right away. The designs are really pretty too, and the price point is great.

I’m realizing just how much I love a fig-scented candle. I’ve burned through two Flamingo Estate Sappho Fig candles. I’ve burned the TRUDON Figuerie candle down to the bare jar, then ordered this Mediterranean Fig candle from Quince. Am I obsessed? Definitely.

Should I share my fall candle list soon?

And I’m excited to share that our autumn candle collection is LIVE! I just received a shipment of candles and YOU GUYS. We made the two best scents for fall.

Kick off the season with Apple Cider, then come October, the trick is burning Apple Cider and Pumpkin Smash together. It’s fall magic throughout the entire house.

Beauty

Ever since I got my HigherDOSE sauna blanket in Miami (I’d left mine in Colorado and was missing it greatly), I’ve used it almost every night. It’s become my favorite way to signal to my body that it’s time for bed. My nighttime routine is pretty simple, but it involves a lot of red light and body care.

I always dry brush before showering, then start my body care while my skin is still damp. Next, I lather on the OSEA body butter, followed by the body serum, and sometimes MUTHA body butter on top. I have to mellow out with the OSEA butter because sometimes I go through a jar a week. Not kidding.

OSEA’s Labor Day Sale is happening too. Spend $125+ and get their 30 Years of Bestsellers Set free. I’m stocking up because I actually fear running out.

Then, red light. I’ve been using the BON CHARGE face and neck mask. Use code TIEGHAN15 for 15% off. One thing I especially like about the BON CHARGE is that it includes the neck. I’ve noticed brighter, more even-looking skin. My Therabody mask is another favorite.

I’m also missing my HigherDOSE Infrared PEMF Pro Mat. I used it every morning in Colorado. I loved it for muscle recovery and slowing down. I need to get it to Miami!

A couple of quick beauty finds: I ordered this Multi Peptides & GF Advanced Lifting Serum after seeing it on Marianna Hewitt’s Vogue beauty wishlist. And this blush is so pretty.

My everyday makeup is simple: blush, mascara, and brushed-up brows. Rare Beauty has my favorite Brow Gel & Pencil Duo. That’s pretty much the extent of my makeup skills!

And lastly, these short fall nail colors are really cute. I’m already ready for all the fall colors.

Watching

My cousin told me I need to watch Furious. Her reasons: the actress from Shameless, Emmy Rossum, stars in it and also helps produce the show. Abigail works closely with issues around child and human trafficking, so this subject is especially meaningful to her. She appreciates how the show portrays the lived experiences of young people being trafficked, while also showing the impact this kind of work can have on the professionals trying to help. She says it feels very real and doesn’t shy away from the difficult parts.

Have you watched it? Is it good?

Honestly, I’m craving another Harry Potter rewatch. Again. I like what I like, I guess.

From My Kitchen

Last week I cooked every day. This week, I’ve mostly been making old favorites. We had tacos twice—mini tacos and my buffalo chicken tacos—plus this peach salad, hamburger helper, and we baked these brown sugar maple cookies too. Sometimes a chocolate chip cookie (with a twist) is all you need. Oh, and my Iced Cinnamon Honey Latte, of course.

Now I’m craving all the cozy fall recipes. First up, my baked apple butter French toast and then this creamy butternut pasta. I’m ready!

We’ve also been loving yogurt bowls, and I make one pretty much every day. I love the Painterland Sisters organic skyr yogurt tub. It has zero added sugar, twenty-one grams of protein, is lactose-free, and has probiotics, including BB-12. I LOVE the creaminess.

But read their story too. It makes me love the yogurt even more. The sisters grew up on Painterland Farms in Pennsylvania, where their family has been farming for four generations.

They left for college and traveled the world, but the more time they spent away, the more they realized how special home really is. Eventually, they came back and created Painterland Sisters Organic Skyr Yogurt as a way to connect more people with American farmers.

I love their story. The sisters are so inspiring!

And one more current obsession: cinnamon honey. It’s literally just whipped honey with cinnamon, but put it on a pretzel bagel with a cream cheese schmear from PopUp Bagels, and it is SO good.

This Week’s Little Joy

My week has been filled with small, wonderful hits of joy. Discovering how much I love riding my bike to a coffee shop and working for hours without getting distracted. Then riding home and feeling like a kid again, with the warm air on my skin. I forgot how peaceful riding a bike can be.

Meeting wonderfully kind people. An evening walk with my mom that turned into bumping into our favorite neighbors, Penny Jane and Garrett. Beautiful Miami days filled with sunshine. Noticing how the light changes every morning and night.

Even the very cool British fellow currently sitting next to me with his very British accent is making me smile.

It’s the little things.

Looking Ahead

My excitement for the holidays is already unhinged. You just can’t keep a holiday-loving girl from feeling all the holiday magic. That excitement lives inside me, and it’s not going anywhere!

4. The Handful of Substacks I Read

I don’t read many, but the ones I do, I love.

Off the Grid by Chriselle Lim

Chriselle shares deeply personal stories about relationships, motherhood, business, and personal growth. She founded Phlur, so she’s obviously a business boss, but she also comes across as such a beautiful human and mom. I really enjoy her perspective and how openly she shares.

Trade Offs by Julia and Thomas Berolzheimer

I’ve followed Julia for the longest time. She and her husband, Thomas, are partners in life and business, and I love how they bring both of their perspectives and very different interests into one place. They’re thoughtful, interesting, and not always the norm, which I love.

The Wellness Process by Elizabeth Endres Orrigo

Elizabeth writes about wellness, personal growth, and the messy, beautiful process of becoming. I especially love her approach of being a mirror, not a guru. There’s something about that perspective that really resonates with me.

Breathing Space by Camille Styles

Nourishing recipes, wellness practices, beautiful spaces, and inspiration for creating a life you love. Camille has such a calming way of looking at everyday life and always makes everything feel beautiful and intentional.

Melissa Wood-Tepperberg

Melissa goes deeper into personal growth, workouts, daily practices, motherhood, and building a business. I always enjoy hearing more about the practices that shape her life beyond what you see on social.

5. My Week in Photos.

Every night. So pretty, rain or shine, there is always a beautiful sunset.

Oh, special girl. How did you grow up so fast?

It feels like yesterday, and I just can’t believe she’s heading off to school this month. I’m so proud of her. She’s wicked smart, beautiful, kind, caring, and so loving of others. And the girl has a confidence that I only hope she continues to embrace and grow into. She’s becoming this incredible young woman, so full of life, and it’s really special to watch.

Her Eloise Christmas tree!

I get the Super Greens, no kale, then add a few extras. It’s a very specific order, but I always make sure they use whole fruits and vegetables. I’m not a juice girl. I want all the fiber and every last nutrient! Oh, and no ice because I really dislike anything cold.

YES. Miami is ready for the holiday season. I knew I loved it here.

This made me smile so hard. So kind of you to even take the time to message me. I really do love the family we have here, just like my own.

Proof of my Fig candle obsession.

Wiped and squeezed dry of product. I use every last drop of the MUTHA Body Butter and Body Melt.

Birthday girls! My cousin’s little girls are so cute.

Facts.

I’m a glass-half-full girl. Thank you, Emma, for the reminder.

6. Inspiring Me.

Never underestimate how special the family unit is. It can be big or small, the family you’re born into or simply the people you choose as family. It doesn’t matter. There is nothing more valuable than family. We can all be together or miles apart, but there isn’t one of us who doesn’t have the others’ backs.
