How about a little green for your Sunday?!?!

Mango Spinach Smoothie | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest

Soo back about two weeks ago now, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. If you read regularly then you know all about this. I complained and complained for days and days. The good news is, I am finally starting to feel semi normal again and back to my old self. BUT when I couldn’t chew a single thing, I was all about smoothies, and this Mango Spinach Smoothie quickly became my favorite. Nutrition wise, it gave me all the things I needed… veggies, fruits, loads of good fats and antioxidants. I swear, this smoothie kept me alive for the first week…the best part … it’s also DELICIOUS! So I didn’t mind drinking it… for like every meal.

I loaded this green smoothie with all of my favorite things…

…mango

…spinach

…passionfruit

…coconut

…vanilla

…maca powder

If you wanted to bump up the protein you could also add a scoop of almond butter or like 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt. Simple, SIMPLE, so yummy and good for us. YEAH!!

  1. I am nowhere near to have my wisdom teeth removed (even though I should!) but this looks like the perfect breakfast!

  2. I made this this afternoon and… It was not only SO good but also very filling!! People actually make me so mad when they talk about getting full from a smoothie bc that never happens to me, but this one totally filled me up! I also had a hangover which this quickly cured. Thank you!! I am so excited to make this smoothie many more times!

  3. Mango is my favorite fruit & combination with spinach will surely rock it. I can’t stop myself to stop trying it. It is looking mouth-watering for me. Thank you so much for this 🙂

  4. I am going to give this a try, although the thought of spinach in a smoothie does seem all that appetizing.

    1. It tastes better than it sounds!! I even got Kai (my picky brother) to drink it! I hope you found the same (: Thanks Peyton

  5. I have to admit , I have never had a fruit smooth with spinach in it, but thinking about it now the way you combined it with the mango, coconut, and other ingredients they all compliment each other. I am going to try this.

  6. I’ve never needed my wisdom teeth removed, but I can imagine what an experience it is 🙁 no chewing for weeks and weeks! I betcha this smoothie totally got you through the day and still tasted amazing while giving you so many health benefits!

  7. Mmm! This sounds so good and bright and springy! When I got my wisdom teeth out I remember being so frustrated about not eating solid food that I got to the point where I was swallowing soft pasta whole… Not a proud moment. Hope you’re feeling better! 🙂

    1. HAHA whats funny about that is Kai (my brother who just got his tonsils out) said the same thing to me the other day!

  8. Glad you’re on the mend! I am a smoothie junkie and this sounds fantastic! Can’t wait to try it!

  9. Unfortunately my wisdom tooth experience was before everyone was on the green smoothie train, but this really looks like a lifesaver! Love the addition of ginger here too, yum!

  10. Hope you’re feeling better, Tieghan! Getting your wisdom teeth out is the worst 🙁 But I love this vibrant smoothie, so full of nutrients to help you recover!! 😀

  12. Ouch, getting wisdom teeth is no joke! I’m dreading having to get my gums worked on, but I know it HAS to be done. Smoothies are the best. I’ll be giving this one a try if I can’t eat solid food for a few days. Thanks for sharing!

  13. Getting your wisdom teeth out is the WORST! So glad you’re feeling better… and the smoothie recipe looks delicious. Love the coconut milk in there!
