One for you, and you, and you… and two for me please. 🙂

Never enough pasta, you know?? Especially pasta of the homemade variety. Yes… we are making fresh-cut pasta today!! I know, know, so fun and SO good. And then we are tossing it with a creamy tomato sauce and BUTTERY poached lobster + shrimp. Too freaking good!

Have you guys seen all the Valentine’s Day stuff out this year? I feel like it’s EVERYWHERE. Even though I am single, I still love the idea of Valentine’s Day. Maybe I dream of a Valentine’s Day where I’m actually able to celebrate it with someONE… and not just a box of chocolates… although the chocolate is very much-loved. Anyway, I have a thing for Valentine’s Day. For me it’s an excuse to make pasta, eat chocolate and buy fresh roses. Obviously I’m all over that!

So I’ve teamed up with Crate and Barrel to bring you guys this special seafood pasta recipe. It’s kind of my favorite for many reasons.

Reason ONE: fresh-cut, homemade pasta. Homemade pasta adds so much to a pasta dish! DON’T be scared of making your own. It’s definitely not something you do everyday, but for a special night-in, like Valentine’s Day, it’s so fun… and trust me, so delicious. Nothing beats homemade pasta.

Reason TWO: BUTTER poached lobster + shrimp. I mean, really, doesn’t that just sound amazing? Lobster and butter go hand-in-hand. Personally, I cannot do lobster without a little butter, so poaching lobster tails in butter was the right move for me. I’m pretty sure it will be the right move for you too!

Reason THREE: Creamy, cheesy tomato sauce. Enough said.

So you see? This creamy tomato, lobster and shrimp fettuccine is kind of everything you need. Not only for Valentine’s Day, this sumptuous dish will get you though the winter. What? Hey, these mid/late winter months are BRUTAL. Oh, and don’t forget to pair this dish with a nice bottle of wine. Duh.

  3. Hi Tieghan, I am having the same issue as Vanessa. The links to the seafood pasta recipe no longer work (they go to a generic Crate and Barrel blog page). Would you be able to post or email this recipe to us?

    1. Hi there! I am sorry, Crate and Barrel must have deleted the post. I will try and share a new recipe for lobster pasta this summer 🙂 Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!! xTieghan

  4. Hi, I’ve been LOVING your recipes! I can’t seem to find this recipe on their website! Do you have a copy of it?

  5. This might be a silly questions, but did you drain the canned tomatoes, or add in the whole can? Making this tomorrow for a very delayed Valentine’s date night 🙂

  6. Thank you so much for your recipes. I love the photos, showing the joy of cooking and the writing that makes the task even more enjoyable.
I made this dish for someone that had herself convinced that she only liked lobster broiled with garlic butter. She asked for the recipe site.
Where is your cook book? I look forward to the writing as much as the food.
    Keep on cooking

  7. Oh my! I made this for my husband tonight for a ‘day before’ Valentines Day dinner. It was over the top delicious! Thanks so much Tieghan for blessing us with delicious recipes. Happy Valentines Day Tieghan!

  8. Ahh this looks amazing. You can’t go wrong with butter and lobster. I tried making my own ravioli a couple months ago… that was interesting 😛 I did it all by hand so it didn’t turn out quite as I hoped, but it was definitely a learning experience. I need a pasta machine in my life.

  9. Hi Tieghan,
Can I just live with you and eat this pasta dish every night for supper? I promise to help you clean up in the kitchen. Thanks.

  10. OH MY! This looks amazing! I’ve always been too scared to make my own pasta but you’ve inspired me to give it a try 🙂
