Crockpot Brown Butter Marinara Sauce

This just kind of seemed like a Sunday recipe. For one, it’s SO easy. Just throw everything in and go. No peeling tomatoes, no chopping and no splatters all over your stove. Then there is the fact that your house is gonna smell like an old Italian lady’s all day long. It’s so good.

  • French Onion Soup. Not going to lie, it is kind of hard to not love this soup. It's everything you love about a warming, cheesy bowl of French onion soup, but better, because it's SUPER SIMPLE. Meaning this a one pot recipe (OR make it in the slow cooker...OR even instant pot). Simple, perfect, and best served on cold nights...like tonight. Just don't skip that cheesy bread. It's why you make French onion soup. Grab the full recipe in Half Baked Harvest Super Simple. Link in profile 🖤 AND making it on stories tonight as well. #hbhsupersimple #f52grams #CLkitchen #eeeeeats
  • Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole with Sweet ‘n’ Savory Bacon Pecans. Sometimes the classics need a little update and the only way to make sweet potatoes better? Bourbon...and bacon. It’s a touch sweet, savory, and a little spicy too. Nothing boring, just all the goods things. Recipe up on HBH today - linked in profile. PS. marshmallows or no marshmallows on your casserole? No mallows for me. #f52grams #imsomartha #thanksgiving
  • Herby Buttered Mushroom Stroganoff. My current go-to because the temps are cold and this is the coziest bowl of buttery noodles. Think herby, caramelized mushrooms, classic egg noodles, and the creamiest sauce (with a splash of wine...). Done in 30 minutes. Amazing for Sunday night, but easy enough for any night. And? SO GOOD. .. .. 8oz uncooked egg noodles 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil 1 large shallot, thinly sliced 4 cups mixed mushrooms 3 tbs salted butter 2 cloves garlic, minced or grated 2 tbs fresh thyme leaves 1 tbs fresh chopped sage 2 tbs flour 1 cup low sodium chicken or vegetable broth 1 cup dry white wine 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar 1/2 cup canned coconut milk or heavy cream ... 1. Cook the noodles according to package directions 2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the shallots and cook 2-3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Cook  5 minutes, until golden. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter, garlic, thyme, and sage. Cook,  2-3 minutes. Remove half the mushrooms from the skillet to a plate and set aside. 3. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and cook another minute. Add the  broth, wine, Worcestershire, balsamic, and season with salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a low boil, then reduce the heat to medium, simmer  5 minutes. Stir in the milk, cook 3 minutes. Add the noodles, mushrooms, and 1/4 cup parsley. 4. Serve topped with fresh thyme and pepper...maybe add some parmesan. That would be very good. Enjoy! #eatingfortheinsta #falldinners #instayum
  • Cranberry Bourbon Sour. Mixed this one up with the family Thanksgiving in mind. It includes everyones favorites...but with my special "touches" --> homemade cranberry-orange syrup, warming bourbon, fresh citrus, and sweet candied rosemary. It's simple, it's easy, festive (which I'm ll about...), and perfect for upcoming holiday dinners. Just one tip? Make a large pitcher batch (sharing recipes for both). This one goes fast. Grab the recipe on HBH - link in profile. #f52grams #bourbon #christmasdrinksaturday #hbhcocktailsaturday
