Today I am bringing you yet another Thai dish. But a simple one…20 Minute Pad Thai.
First…can we talk about birthdays? Do you guys like your birthday?
I mean do you look forward to this day? Do you like to celebrate it with a party or dinner out? Do you like the attention being all on you? Receiving gifts and cards and having people do things for you that they would not normally do?
I am a birthday well…hater. Yes, I really do not like my birthday.
I will celebrate anyone else’s happily, but my birthday? No thanks, I would rather pretend it did not exist.
I know, ba humbug! The thing is, I do not like any attention, which I do understand is ironic, seeing as a write a blog for everyone (hopefully) to see. It just makes me uncomfortable.
I can blame my dad for this, I get it all from him. Mom and I could not be more different. She LOVES any reason to celebrate, whereas Dad and I, well not so much. Honestly, we are weird birds.
If you are wondering, no it is not my birthday. But yesterday, was my dad’s birthday. And he’s probably going to kill me for saying anything. But really, I just had to share this random little fact about my dad and me.
So I made Pad Thai. Cause really, who doesn’t want Thai food on their Birthday? It’s the perfect little make your own take out treat for your Wednesday night!
And you know what, it was SO easy. I was not expecting it to take (seriously) twenty minutes, but it did, and it was awesome! Twenty minutes and one pan! You can not get takeout faster than that, so put away those menus! Trust me this is so much better than that greasy, soggy, overly salted stuff you’re about to order.
If you make this 20 Minute Pad Thai, be sure to leave a comment and/or give this recipe a rating! Above all, I love to hear from you guys and always do my best to respond to each and every comment. And of course, if you do make this recipe, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram! Looking through the photos of recipes you all have made is my favorite!

Am I a freak…or does anyone else not love their birthday?

This looks tasty, and I can’t argue with anything that looks good and can be prepared in less than half an hour. Thanks for sharing. And on a side note – I stopped by from Addicted to Recipes’ link party. I clicked open two recipes with delicious-looking pictures and they were both yours. You have great photos!
This looks awesome–I´m definitely trying it this weekend, thank you!
This looks so yummy. I’d like to invite you to participate in my blog’s round up called Pantry Party! This month’s theme is pasta and this dish would suit it perfectly! Enter this dish or another, we’d love to have you!

This looks so yummy!
I have a friend who gets mad if you acknowledge his birthday! I love birthdays, so I just don’t get it!
Holy Hannah this looks good. I just have a few things I need to pick up before I make it though… boo! Looking forward to a trip to town and eating this.
I love birthday’s oh and any other days I can celebrate !!! But unfortunately my hubby can’t stand any of the Mumbo jumbo 🙁 … Ah well have to compromise a bit I guess !!!
Coming to ur recipe, we are pure vegitarians so fish oil or any other non veg Ingridient is out of question… But I’ll try this out by probably replacing these with something else …!!! Thanks a lot for sharing this 🙂

Wow! Thanks so much, I am honored!
This looks delicious! 🙂
I’ve seen a lot of Pad Thai recipes online but I love that yours actually LOOKS like real pad thai. Great job!
Thank you!
I love pad thai, but always thought it was too time consuming to make. Thanks for the recipe! I will have to try it.
Yup, I’m a fellow birthday hater…I’m not a fan of attention cause I always get worried that it’s out of obligation, lol! Plus getting older is a real bummer… 😉 SO excited about your 20 minutes Pad Thai! I love Thai food too (look how much we have in common!!) and have never made Pad Thai at home. Thrilled that this takes only 20 minutes to whip up on a busy night!
I thought I was alone and the Birthday thing. I guess not, but hey I guess it’s another excuse for cake. Right?
I don’t like having all the attention on me either! Totally relate. This pad thai looks delicious! I’ve been wanting to try making my own, but never could find a recipe that looked easy. I am pinning this to try. Thanks for sharing!
Looks delicious!
I am not crazy about having lots of attention on me either…but I do love the cake that comes with birthdays! This dinner looks awesome and I love how quick it is to make!!!
Yup, the cake is always good!
