Also known as the ultimate Thanksgiving Leftover Melt.
There is mashed potatoes (in the waffles!!), turkey (that your gonna butter up!), cranberry sauce, brie and some bacon if you are into it.
Oh, and an egg. You need the extra protein for all that shopping today.
Are you guys shopping today?
I never have gotten into the whole black Friday thing. I just buy everything online and can pretty much always find a good deal. I learned from the best though, my mother is the ULTIMATE online shopper. Give here an item to buy and she will find it for the cheapest price you can get. No doubt about it.
Anyway, how was your Thanksgiving?
I made four pies (tossed one), went through four pounds of butter and I do not even know how many potatoes, made two sweet potatoes casseroles, a TON of these rolls and a whole lot of roasted veggies too. And you know what? I am less tired now than I am after a normal day in the Kitchen. Thanksgiving is like nothing to me these days.
Oh, and we got our Christmas tree! It is a Thanksgiving tradition and I think this year’s tree it the best one yet. It is kind of picture perfect.
We always chop ours down in the middle of nowhere. We do have to get a permit, but it’s only ten dollars (and you can get it ahead of time) and you can get the BEST trees! Plus, I do not think I could ever go and buy a tree in a lot.
I am all about cutting it down fresh from the woods!
Alright, so these melts.
They are amazing. Who knew that mashed potatoes would make for the best waffles ever?
Not me!!
But really, they are the best waffles.
It is probably because of all the butter and cream I added to my mashed potatoes. Hey, got to make them good on Thanksgiving!
The rest of the sandwich is a spin on a sandwich I made all summer long. Smashed avocado, brie, jelly (swapped cranberry sauce) and turkey.
The eggs only happened every so often and the bacon is a new thing.
These melts are perfect and you can adjust them to your liking. Add as much turkey, cranberry sauce and brie (I added a ton of brie) as you want. Throw in some gravy if you are into it, leave out the bacon, heck you can even leave out the turkey and make this a vegetarian sandwich.
Still AMAZING!
I mean, how could it not be? It’s a waffle melt with brie and avocado!!
Alright, time to go serve the “second” Thanksgiving. The house is FULL and thankfully so is the fridge!

Brilliant use of leftovers! I wish I had seen this earlier to make these for my brother – he loves waffles and T-day leftovers, so these would be perfect!
Thanks Laura! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
You never cease to amaze me with the most amazing and delicious looking things! This is making me wish it was Thanksgiving all over again just for the leftovers!
Thank you, Jessica!!
this is just gorgeous!
Thanks Julianne!
I made Thanksgiving sliders a lot like these, but used stuffing for the waffles and made ground turkey burgers. Great job, these look awesome!
Happy Blogging!
Happy Valley Chow
Oh I bet the stuffing waffles were awesome!
Thanks!
I love this idea! These look absolutely fabulous! I saw you on Foodgawker.
Thank you!! Happy you clicked over!
Brilliant way to use leftovers. You need to open your own restaurant, girl! And I totally agree: black friday = the worst idea ever. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
I think I’ve gained about ten pounds from just looking at your blog. And that’s okay by me.
Haha! Thanks Becki! There is a few healthy ones too!
Holy cow!! This is Thanksgiving leftover perfection! Making more mashed potatoes asap, so I can have these waffles in my life.
Thanks Kelli!
Ahhhhh these melts are amazing!! Freaking awesome. With waffles. That’s so original and just perfect.
I do not like Black Friday shopping either – it’s just pointless really. And I’m so with you on the Christmas tree note! We always go to a tree farm in the woods to cut ours down. it’s so fun and authentic that way.
Pinning this!
Thanks Abbie!
Ohmygoshtheseareridiculoussssss! AH! These definitely are the ultimate Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches! I’m gonna make myself one for breakfast! Also adding this to my Thanksgiving leftover recipe roundup, waaaaaahooooo!

Thanks Jeanette!
I was totally going to make some sort of creative sandwich out my turkey today. And then, you put it in a waffle. I want a waffle sandwich. But, alas, I have no waffle maker. Guess I am going black Friday shopping today. Braving the malls just for this sandwich girl. Yum!
Oh man! You can make them into pancakes too!
Thanks Taylor! Hope you had fun shopping!
Even though I’m still full to the brim this looks delicious. Mashed potatoes in a waffle with bacon, turkey, avocado in between sounds incredible!
Thanks Norma! 🙂
