This simple Rosemary Roasted Butternut Squash Pizza is the perfect pizza to welcome autumn. Pizza dough topped with rosemary herb roasted butternut squash, bacon, and cheese, then baked until the cheese is melty. As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven, slice, eat, and ENJOY. Every last bite of this pizza is delicious and will leave you wanting more. It’s herby, spicy and the perfect mix of fall flavors to enjoy all season long.

I don’t think I’ve ever talked about this before, but growing up my dad had a Pampered Chef stoneware pan that he used for everything. Everything you guys. Baking his tacos, making his pasta dishes, and even pizzas too. He used one like this pan (ours was round) for cooking just about everything. We actually still have a “vintage” Pampered Chef stone to this day. It’s one of my favorite baking dishes!

So when Pampered Chef reached out to me to work together I was beyond excited. This is a brand my family has used since before I was born. And it’s been incredible to get to work with them and create a few recipes to share with you guys!

With that, I’m excited to tell you guys about Pampered Chefs new TasteBuds program. It’s a monthly seasonings delivery service that helps you get dinner on the table easier and quicker. Each month has a new theme. Pampered Chef sends you 3 packets of their seasoning blends, which usually provide enough seasonings for 2–4 recipes.

What’s really cool is that subscribers get early access to new seasonings and seasonings that are exclusive to TasteBuds!

Along with the spices comes three recipe ideas as well. Each recipe card includes cooking tips and ways to make it your own. I’m sharing my pizza recipe today. But you can also subscribe to TasteBuds to get my other recipes. There’s a delicious autumn roasted chicken and my slow cooker Tuscan tortellini soup as well.

With a TasteBuds subscription, you can also grab exclusive access to additional recipes and time-saving tips. It’s basically one big helpful resource to getting dinner on the table fast, but also creating a delicious meal in the process.

Now onto the pizza

Honestly? This is one of my favorite fall pizzas.

The roasted butternut squash and rosemary on top of this deliciously cheesy pizza is just the perfect combination. And it’s so easy!

Simply grab some butternut squash and toss it together with Pampered Chef’s Rosemary Herb Seasoning Mix. Roast until the squash is super tender and you can smell those wonderful herbs!

Assemble and bake

Now simply layer the roasted squash over the pizza dough, add the basil pesto, crispy bacon, and of course, lots of cheese.

Bake in the upper position of the oven, preferably on a preheated pizza stone. In less than fifteen minutes you’ll have amazing pizza.

Plus, your kitchen will smell incredible. The squash roasting away with the rosemary is such a warming and delicious scent.

As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven just slice and eat. The cheese is warm and melty, the squash is spicy and roasted, and the bacon is salty and crisp. Together these ingredients make this pizza beyond good…think, go for that second (or third) slice GOOD!

Most importantly, you’ll have a delicious pizza to enjoy for dinner, turning your average weeknight into something fun and totally stress free!

Instructions

  • 1. Position the oven rack in the upper 1/3 portion of your oven. Preheat the oven to 425° F. If you have a baking stone, start preheating it.
    2. Place the pizza dough on a lightly oiled quarter sheet pan. Gently press the dough until it covers most of the sheet pan. Cover and let sit while you prep the pizza.
    3. On another baking sheet, toss together the olive oil, butternut squash, Rosemary Herb Seasoning Mix, honey, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (if desired). Roast for 15-20 minutes, until the squash is just tender, then remove from oven. Increase the heat to 500° F.
    4. To assemble. Take the sheet pan with the dough and spread on the pesto. Next, layer on the butternut squash and bacon. Then top with the cheeses.
    5. Slide into the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, rotate the pizza, and bake another 3-5 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted. Top with basil. Enjoy!

    1. Could you give the recipe for the pizza dough you used please? The crunchy crust is what make this so appealing imo. Thank you

      1. Hey Irene,
My pizza dough recipe is located in the HBH Super Simple Cookbook. I hope you love this recipe, please let me know if you give it a try! xTieghan

Thanks for the info on Taste Buds from Pampered Chef. It makes a great gift! I’ve ordered one and plan on ordering more.

  3. I can’t wait to make this recipe. Would you mind sharing the ingredients to make the rosemary seasoning? Thank you.

      1. Thank you! This was AMAZING! So easy and a great Friday meal. My daughter loved to help spread the dough and peel the squash. We used fresh rosemary, thyme and lemon zest and it turned out great. Thank you for your amazing recipes and meal ideas.

        1. Hey Margaret,
Awesome!! Love to hear that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a bunch for giving it a try! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan

  4. Looks great and thanks for sharing the ingredients in the Rosemary Herb mix. We have a lot of butternut squash in the garden – totally making this for Friday Night Pizza tomorrow!

    Thank you!

  5. Ok, this might be a silly question but do you cook the bacon before and put cooked bacon on the raw dough then put it in the oven or do you put raw bacon on and it cooks with the pizza?

    1. Hey Tessa,
The recipe calls for 3 pieces of crispy bacon, so you will want to cook your bacon first. I hope this helps! xTieghan

  6. Hi Tieghan, Can you please clarify the baking portion- for those that have a stone, on the prep side, do we slide the dough on there after assembly or before? Does the heated stone start cooking the dough if it’s being assembled on it while hot? I’ve had problems with the dough sticking to the prep area if I assemble first and if the dough is sticky.

    1. Hey Cheryl,
You are just going to put your baking sheet directly on top of the stone. I find it creates a really nice crispy crust. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you give it a try! xTieghan

    2. Cheryl, you are going to want to put down flour or corn meal before you start prepping your pizza. If you have a pizza peel to use that’s even better because it’ll be easier to use to slide the pizza off onto the hot stone.

    1. Hi Susan,
If you click on the link for the mix, you will see that the ingredients included in the mix are shown: rosemary, lemon, and thyme. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you give it a try! xTieghan

  7. What I have always loved about Tieghan’s recipes is the freshness and starting from scratch. I do understand why she would partner up with the Pampered Chef and give some an quick alternative to fresh, but it would be nice to include the fresh recipe. I’m just not in such a hurry.

  8. Gluten free but can’t wait to try this on a cauliflower crust! Will swap out my dairy free pesto and cut the cheese in half since I am cutting back on dairy!!! Looks divine!

    Thanks so much!

  9. Do you move the assembled pizza to the hot stone to bake? Are there any preps to the stone beside heating it? Or do you put the sheet pan on top of the stone in the oven?

    1. Hey Cynthia,
I put my sheet pan directly on top of the stone, I find it creates a really nice crispy crust. I hope this recipe turns out amazing for you, please let me know if you give it a try! xTieghan

    2. Cynthia you want the pizza to to cook directly on the stone. If you have a pizza peel or flat baking sheet ( like a cookie sheet) you’ll put cornmeal or flour down first before prepping your dough. It’ll slide right off the sheet onto the hot stone.

  10. If anyone doesn’t have the rosemary herb mix from pampered chef, It’s a mixture of dried rosemary, lemon and thyme. I am going to use fresh herbs and some lemon zest to sub.
