Nine Favorite Things

Nine Favorite Things – something new soon!

After returning home from LA last week, I spent the week in the kitchen. I spent part of Sunday prepping for that big photoshoot I mentioned last week. I was so nervous for Monday. But I’m happy to share that all went really well and I’ll be able to share more details very soon!

To say I was relieved once we completed the shoot would be an understatement. It took me a minute to recoup, but the rest of the week was spent cooking and shooting. I’ll be traveling a little more than usual in November and December, so I’m doing my best to work ahead. This means thinking about Thanksgiving! Which is just crazy, but I’m looking forward to creating a whole new Thanksgiving menu for you all.

You have to let me know if there’s anything specific you’re really wanting to see this year! Or how I can best help you all to have the BEST holiday season yet! I really want to make this year’s content fit for you all and yet still be so special. I’m really excited!

I’ve already ordered new holiday decor and pieces for upcoming tablescapes and holiday cocktails too. Wahoo!

Asher has taken on the task of unboxing everything and she’s sure having fun with all the holiday pieces. It’s made us both so excited. I made her our very first mug of hot chocolate for the cozy season. We had two days of snow and FREEZING temperatures, so of course hot chocolate was on the menu. She’s the sweetest.

Also, Chicago I’m coming to see you all! Sharing details on our events below. Can’t wait!

That’s all I’ve got – Happy Sunday! Ideally, I’ll be burning a pumpkin smash candle while baking my favorite pumpkin cookies today!

1. Things i’m loving, wanting, and excited to try.

wanting…the Diptyque Advent Calendar 25 scented treasures. Love this. But very pricy.

everything in my cart (beauty)…October is breast cancer awareness month. A good handful of the beauty brands I love are supporting – so cool! IS Clinical is donating 100% of profits from the Poly-Vitamin Serum to the National Breast Cancer Coalition for the entire month of October. Estée Lauder will donate 20% off select products. Try their Limited Edition Pink Ribbon Advanced Night Repair. Jo Malone London will donate 50% of their Special-Edition Peony & Blush Suede Cologne. A few more below too!

watching…Gwyneth Paltrow Answers Vogue’s 73 Questions. This is fun, we kind of get a tour of her house too. Her garden is incredible!!

4. Chicago events this week!

Nine Favorite Things

So excited! I will be in Chicago this week for 2 LIVE events. The first with Ulta Beauty and the second with Williams-Sonoma.

Snif Ulta Beauty Meet and Greet – Thursday, October 19th

I’ll be hosting a meet-and-greet at the Ulta Beauty in downtown Chicago on October 19th from 5-7 PM CT. We’re launching the Pumpkin SMASH candle in select Ulta Beauty stores across the US!!

Tickets are FREE, you can get them here (the first 150 to show with a ticket are guaranteed access to the meet-and-greet opportunities).

We’ll also be having some fun giveaways, including a chance to enter a raffle for a year’s worth of Snif candles. And what’s even more exciting? You’ll get a free sample of another secret project we’ve been working on that’s coming in November! It’s going to be so much fun!

Williams Sonoma Lincoln Park, Chicago – Friday, October 20th

We’ve already had an overwhelming amount of sign-ups for the Ulta beauty event so we decided to add one more Meet and Greet in Chicago! On Friday, October 20th, I’ll be at the Williams Sonoma Lincoln Park at 6 pm CT. I didn’t want to miss anyone on this trip (sorry about last time).  So if you’re interested in meeting up with me, and you can’t make it to Ulta on Thursday, then Friday at Williams Sonoma is the event for you! I will be signing books in addition to our Pumpkin Smash candle. You can purchase the 2 together, which would be the cutest holiday or hostess gift.

Reserve your tickets here – looking forward to this so much!

5. What are your “worth every penny” buys?

Got this idea from this Cup of Joe Post. So cute and fun!

Without a doubt, skincare. You’ll have your skin forever and ever. Take care of it now and the less you’ll have to do as you age. I look at skincare as an investment in my health.

A nice hotel room, every time. This has been a GAME CHANGER for me in terms of travel. Knowing I will be staying in a comfortable place while traveling has actually helped me love traveling. I love staying in a pretty hotel, it makes me want to travel more.

A cast iron skillet – get yourself a nice one, trust me. You’ll use it just about every day for the rest of your life. Mine see more use than you could ever guess.

Breville Espresso – I use my espresso machine every single morning. It’s part of my morning routine. I can’t imagine getting through the morning without it!

What are your “worth every penny” buys?

6. Inspiring me – moody, spooky October.

  1. Please spend more time developing and testing your recipes. I’ve just noticed the recipes haven’t been written well and don’t turn out lately. Also lots of repeated ingredients with a slight variations… there is no way to continue churning out high quality recipes at the speed you do. I think your followers would rather have one amazing recipe a week that is tested and works rather than a mediocre variation of the same stuff everyday.

    1. Hey Susan! Thank you so much for this feedback. I will be sure to be more throughly reviewing recipes. It can be tricky to get them perfect each time! I Always try to do my best! Thanks again for the feedback! Xx

  2. Gosh, the Fall colours are stunning in your part of the world! I rarely see the “oranges” here in Ontario, but reds and yellows and russets are gorgeous. I have a maple tree in my front yard that looks like it’s on fire, it’s so brilliantly red! Such a short lived beautiful time of year! Question…lol. My eye “zeroed” in on that ring on your left hand in your first picture? Is there something I missed? Loving your Fall recipes too ❤️

    1. Thank you so much! Wow, that sounds so gorgeous! And oh, that’s just a normal ring I was wearing on my left hand haha, you didn’t miss any news! xT

  3. Reading this a few days later than usual, as I have been feeling poorly, typical for this time of year, but hey ho. A great read as always though and love seeing all your favourites and your adventures for the coming week. A hot chocolate sounds like just the ticket to help fend off a seasonal cold 🙂 Have a great week.

  4. I am faithful reader of your column and recipes. You mentioned the town of Adare, Ireland. The Manor is more spectacular than one can explain. If you want photo shoots, this is your place. The town is absolutely the quintessential of charm and that’s why it’s been awarded the “Tiny Town of Ireland” award. And don’t miss the 100-year Lebonan tree. I’ll look forward to seeing your pictures and reading Your many adventurers.

  5. Would love it if you could come to Toronto Ontario, Canada. Appreciate all the detail in your posts. Enjoy reading every weekend. Thank you.

  6. You say a nice hotel room is worth every penny. Fouquet’s looks like its cheapest room is $1,100/night, and the suites you stay in are much more expensive. Are you paying for that, or is it comped by the hotel, or paid for by whatever partner you’re working with? It’s never marked as sponsored. It’s easy to say that’s worth every penny if it’s costing you zero pennies, but a weekend there would be more than my mortgage!

    1. Hey Kaitlin! Thanks so much for the comment. I am paying for my own hotel room, it’s not comped by the hotel. I share because I love the hotel, not because they allow me to stay there for free. If something is sponsored, I will always disclose of that. Hope that clears things up for you! Thank you! Have great rest of the week!! xx

      1. That still makes you incredibly out of touch with your audience to now proudly share you pay out of pocket for this hotel. Your suite there was either $3300 or $3700 a night by the looks of the pictures and you were recently there for almost… what… two weeks? That’s as much as some people make in a YEAR, tieghan.

        1. I don’t think Tieghan deserves this kind of criticism… she’s clearly worked incredibly hard to achieve her level of success, and she deserves to live the kind of lifestyle she wants. She is nothing but kind and gracious in her comments, and doesn’t have any kind of bad attitude at all. You aren’t required to read the life blog posts of someone whose life you envy to the point of mean spirited comments!

  7. Where can I submit questions for the NFT q&a? Is the comment section here the best place? It seems like we’ve been getting a lot of repeats lately!
