Happy Holiday Cocktail Saturday everyone! Are we starting to get excited for all the upcoming Christmas parties? I know many have already begun! I had my first of the season just yesterday. And while the drinks were flowing, the party could have used a good punch!

After sharing my Thanksgiving punch a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to create a punch that would be perfect for Christmas!

This punch is exactly that, it’s Christmastime in a cup! Or Christmastime in a punch bowl!

The details

What’s amazing about most punch recipes is just how simple they are. I didn’t want this to be fussy at all, so nothing fancy here!

It’s a mix of everything we love most about wintertime and the holidays.

First, mix up the base punch mix. Pomegranate juice, orange juice – preferably fresh, and cranberry juice. Oh, and lime juice too! Make sure each juice has no added sugar.

Then the liquor, a mix of Cointreau (orange liquor) and vodka. Add the juices to a big punch bowl. Then stir in fresh rosemary. At this point, the mix can be chilled until you’re ready to serve.

Just before serving, pour over your favorite bottle of champagne and spicy, sweet ginger beer. I then mix in orange slices and pomegranate seeds.

For serving, I add sugared cranberry and garnish each drink with fresh rosemary.

This Christmas-time punch is perfect for any and all of your upcoming parties. But it’s also great to enjoy with a small group of family or friends. I love that it’s not loaded with added sugars like most punch recipes. Plus, it is SO EASY to make.

For friends who don’t drink, you’ve still got them covered, simply make the mocktail variation!

I hope you all enjoy this very fun drink and that it brings plenty of holiday cheer to your festive night!

  1. Hello, I am unfamiliar with sizes that ginger beer comes in. The recipe calls for 2 bottles. What would be the size of bottles? When I clicked on the ginger beer link in recipe, it shows 5oz cans? Please advise. Thank you!

Wonderful! This is our new holiday tradition! I made the mocktail for Christmas brunch… everyone loved it, even my 16 year old nephew. I made the cocktail, New Year’s Eve… also a huge hit. I did substitute the champagne and sparkling grape juice for sparkling cranberry apple juice that I already had on hand… delicious! The finished punch is more tart then sweet. The hint of rosemary adds depth… do not skip the rosemary. Perfect combination of flavors.

I made this for NYE and it was a hit! My friends always bring their own beverages, but I make a “signature” drink each year. They never drink it all, this year they did!

    Thanks!

Make the mock tail and then if some guests prefer alcohol, I added one oz of grand marnier and one oz of pomegranate liquor over ice to a tall glass then fill with punch. Amazing!

Made this for Christmas and it was a HIT! So well balanced, not too sweet! It honestly reminded me more of a specialty cocktail, than a punch. highly recommend, and will definitely be making it again!

Just a heads up! whenever I try to save the mocktail recipe to my recipe box, the original version saves instead. Excited to make the mocktail version for my family!

    1. Hi Natalia,
They are both going to save because it’s just the whole recipe page that saves to the recipe box, there’s really nothing we can do about that. Sorry! xx

Such a yummy cocktail for our Christmas Eve gathering! It was so refreshing with all the rich food. We subbed rum for vodka and it was also delicious!
