Oh hey! Who’s ready for roasted butternut squash apple burrata pizza!

Roasted Butternut Squash Apple Burrata Pizza | @hbharvest

Me, me, ME! I mean, obviously!

So a couple of things we need to chat about today…

…and that new Food Network Snapchat Discover video that’s up today!

OK, but where to start? Maybe with the new snapchat video that’s airing RIGHT THIS SECOND on Food Network’s Snapchat Discover Channel! Yeah! You guys, I am so excited about these videos, and today’s video is all about my favorite way to set a fall themed dinner table, and um, there may even be a little cheese board making involved.

For those of you who do not have snapchat, don’t worry! You can get all the recipes on Food Network AND for any of you who want to get an even more detailed glimpse into my little barn, you can watch all the full videos on HGTV. Not going to lie, I still have yet to watch these videos in their entirety. I see myself and cover my eyes, like I just can’t. Watching myself is maybe the worst thing ever, BUT I am still really exited for you guys to watch them. I had so much filming with Food Network and of course, the recipes are delicious (um hello, fish tacos + ramen + no-churn ice cream 3 ways + cheesy zucchini pizza!!!) and the crafts are all really fun to make (I’m talking indoor herb garden + natural fabric dyes + flavored honey + autumn squash flower vases + my favorite autumn table setting!!)!

SOO make sure you check out today’s video on Food Network’s Discover Snapchat Channel and then follow-up by watching all the videos right here. 🙂

Next up, I’m thinking we NEED to talk about this pizza.

This pizza that’s literally become one of my favorite fall pizzas ever… no seriously.

I make it no secret how much I love fruit + cheese, and when there is cheese paired with fall favorites like apples + autumn squash… well I wouldn’t take much to guess it would be a favorite.

There’s no denying that autumn is my foodie season, and by that I just mean it’s my favorite season to cook with seasonal produce. Yep, I actually love it even more than summer.

It seems every year about this time I like to make a new autumn inspired pizza recipe:

Example one: Charred Brussels Sprout Pizza with Browned Sage Butter

Example two: Apple and Caramelized Onion Pizza

Example three: Sweet ‘N’ Spicy Roasted Butternut Squash Pizza with Beer Caramelized Onions

Example four: Butternut, Crispy Kale and Fontina Pizza

Ahh, yeah, you see, I kind of like my fall pizzas!

This one though, is extra special! It’s full of burrata, sweet apples, roasted butternut squash and crispy prosciutto!

Can you say yum or what? It’s the perfect fall pizza, and well you should probably make it… ASAP. 🙂

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Spread the butternut squash out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil, honey, chili powder salt and pepper, toss well to coat. Roast until butternut squash is tender, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Remove and set aside.
  • Grease a large baking sheet with olive oil. On a lightly floured surface, push/roll the pizza dough out until until it is pretty thin (about a 10-12 inch circle). Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Spread the dough with fig preserves (if using) and layer on the apple slices. Break the burrata cheese over the apples and divide evenly among the pizza. Evenly sprinkle on the roasted butternut squash and then add the parmesan. Next add the prosciutto. Drizzle lightly with olive oil. Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden, the cheese has melted, and the prosciutto has crisped. Remove from the oven and top with a handful of baby kale, sage and toasted pumpkin seeds. Slice and eat!

Lots of ingredients I love here. This turned out sweeter than I anticipated, so I’d probably cut back on some of the honey or other sweet ingredients next time.

    1. Hey Djienne,

Ok, I figured out why I had excess liquid with my pizza. Since I can’t find burrata cheese, I had used fresh mozzarella, which I guess can gives off liquid when baked. I made it again with shredded mozzarella, and there was no issue. It’s a great recipe and we love it!

I loved the flavor combination! My pizza also came out of the oven with pooling liquid around it. I think the liquid came out of the apple slices. Next time I think I’ll try pre-baking the apple slices while I’m roasting the squash to try to dry them out a bit. Definitely planning to make it again!

    1. Hey Becky,
