Sheet Pan Hawaiian Pepperoni Pizza. Fresh pizza dough topped with homemade sriracha chili butter sauce, pickled jalapeños, pineapple chunks, 3 kinds of cheese, and lots of spicy pepperonis. The secret to this pizza is all in the crispy cheesy edges – delicious. As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven top it with golden garlic jalapeño butter and fresh basil. Then slice, eat, and enjoy. Trust me, every last bite of this pizza is roll-your-eyes-back-yummy and will leave you wanting more.
Look, I know it’s different, a little out there, maybe even somewhat wild. But please, please, do not cross this off without giving it a try. This is one of my favorite pizzas to date!
I’ll never love anything more than a classic cheese and pepperoni pizza, but at the moment, this is taking a close second.
It’s just one of those unexpected flavor combinations that work so well!
We’re all pretty familiar with the Hawaiian pizza. Traditionally they have pineapple chunks and deli-style ham. If you love it, you LOVE it. If you hate it, you really HATE it. some people have some pretty strong words against pineapple on pizza.
Obviously, that’s not me, I’m here for the pineapple on pizza. Ham on the other hand, not my thing, so you will not see that on any of my pizzas. Pepperoni however is my favorite, so we’re bringing that into play today.
I love the sweet flavors of the pineapple paired with the savory, salty cheese, then spicy pepperoni. It’s out there and not your everyday flavor. Just be open and give this a try!
Step 1 – start with the pizza dough
Homemade or store-bought dough work just the same. If using store-bought I’ve found success with Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. Just make sure the dough is at room temperature before you get started.
Put the dough on an oiled sheet pan, then cover and let it rest while you prep the remaining ingredients.
Step 2 – make the sauce and prep the toppings
For the sauce, I mix melted butter with sriracha, tamari, and garlic. Simple, but adds a nice spice!
Then I chop up the pineapple and gather all the remaining ingredients: pickled jalapeños, pepperoncini, cheese, pepperoni, and fresh herbs. For the herbs, I love using basil, cilantro, and green onions.
Step 3 – assemble the pizza and bake
Grab the dough that’s been resting and push it out to the edge of the pan. Spread on the sriracha sauce. Now layer with pickled jalapeños, pepperoncini, fresh pineapple chunks, all 3 kinds of cheese, and finish with slices of pepperoni.
Bake the pizza in the bottom half of the oven until the cheese is bubbling and becomes crispy around the edges.
Enjoy!
As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven, use a spatula to lift it out onto a cutting board. Slice, top with chilies and basil, and eat. This one is meant to be eaten hot, so enjoy every last bite!
Family and friends will LOVE this pizza. The crispy cheesy crust, spicy sauce, sweet chunks of pineapple, pepperoni, and melty-cheesy middle get them every time!

Made this pizza several times for my family and they loved it!! Great combination of spicy and sweet – great recipe easy to follow!! Highly recommend
Hi Patti,
Amazing!! Love to hear that this recipe turned out well for you, thanks for making it and Happy Monday! xT
Have made this pizza three times and it is super delicious! The only problem is 2 of the 3 times I’ve made it I’ve set off the smoke alarm because it gets very smokey towards the end of the bake. Can I lower the temp on this and still have the same great tasting result?
Hi Angie,
So glad to hear you have been enjoying this pizza!! I think pizza cooks best at a high temp, but you could certainly try lowering it! Is there anything falling off the pizza causing all of the smoke? Let me know how I can help! xx
Absolutely delicious! A hit for my family and they asked me to make another! I didn’t top with the butter sauce – used hot honey. The crust was perfect throughout and the taste of this pizza was outstanding!!
Hi Tammi,
Wonderful!! I am thrilled to hear that this recipe turned out well for you, thanks for making it! Have a great weekend:)
“best pizza you have ever made” said my husband. Really delicious. Was worried I would find it too spicy or hot and it was just really flavorful. Eight ounces of pepperoni is a lot, so backed off on that. I would absolutely make it again!!
Hey Dawn,
Wonderful!! I love to hear that you have been enjoying this recipe and appreciate your notes and feedback! xT
Made this for dinner tonight and we both agreed it’s the top 3 pizza we’ve ever had! Delicious!! Thank you! 😊
Hi Maria,
Happy Monday!!😎 I appreciate you making this recipe and your feedback, so glad to hear that it turned out well for you! xT
Just a question. This sheet pan pizza says to position the rack “in the bottom half of the oven.” Your other sheet pan Alla Vodka says to position the rack “in the upper 1/3 portion of your oven.” Why the difference? I love your recipes!!
Thanks so much Beth!! The alla vodka recipe is two years old, so the recipe for this is just what I found has worked best:) Please let me know if you give it a try! xT
I’ve never been a huge fan of homemade pizza until now. Now I feel like I need to make every single pizza Tieghan has to offer! This was delicious and I loved that it wasn’t your traditional pizza sauce. Thanks again!
Hey Autumn,
Fantastic!!🥗🌮 I appreciate you making this recipe and your comment, so glad to hear that it turned out well for you! xx
Im planning on making this Friday. Any suggestions on prepping this ahead of time? Preferably the day before?! TIA
Hi Maggie,
You can make the dough in advance, but I would save everything else for the day off! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xT
Looking for homemade pizza dough recipe.
Hi Diedre,
That recipe is located in the HBH cookbooks:) Please let me know if you have any other questions! xx
Tried this on a whim because we used to really enjoy your chipotle pineapple pizza from I believe your second cookbook. I feel like you were trying to replicate a similar smokiness here, but this missed the mark for us big time. The soy sauce very much overpowered the whole thing and unfortunately I just wish there was a little better effort with the recipe testing lately.
Hi Jenna,
So sorry you feel this way, thanks for trying the recipe and sharing your feedback! Have a great weekend! xx
can someone tell me what Brick Cheese is?
Hi Cynthia,
It’s just cheese from a block:) Please know, I try to respond to comments within 24 hours, so I will always get to you:) Let me know if I can help in any other way! xx
Brick cheese is actually its own kind of cheese – I live in the Midwest so see it a lot here. It has its own flavor and is pretty mild at first really. It is included in the cheese area of our stores and the label will say Brick Cheese.
Hi! Are all three types of cheese really supposed to be cubed? Nothing shredded?
I wondered the same thing. The recipe states the cheese should be cubed, but in one of the pictures it is clearly shredded.
Hi Amy,
You can use cubed or shredded, it’s not going to affect the recipe either way! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xT
Hi Megan,
Either one, whatever is easiest for you:) I hope you love this pizza! xx
I can’t find Sriracha in store. Do you have a replacement?
Hi Ashley,
Gochujang would work, otherwise just skip it:) Let me know if you give this pizza a try, I hope it’s delish! xT
Sorry to sound stupid but what is Brick Cheese?
Hi Cynthia,
Not stupid at all, just cheese from a brick or block:) I always cube or shred my own cheese rather than buying the bagged stuff. Let me know if you have any other questions! xT

Yummy, this is delicious and there goes my failing diet. I keep forgetting to add the pineapples when making/fixing this pizza. We do have some chunks left…unsure by this weekend though. Okay, thank you for sharing and the tea of choice would be oolong tea.
Thanks so much, I hope you love this recipe! xx
Can you please tell if 2 Tablespoon of Pepperoni is the correct amount. I have never seen Pepperoni that small to measure in a tablespoon.
That is for pepperoncini… the pepperoni calls for 8oz.
Hey Leesa,
The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of pepperoncini and then 8 ounces of pepperoni. I hope this helps! Let me know if I can help in any other way! xx
