Hey, Hi! Exciting things today, Half Baked Harvest is hiring!

halfbakedharvest.com | @hbharvest

So I’m sure you guys may have noticed, but over the last year or so I’ve been a little in over my head with work. I cannot lie, it has been a lot to manage the blog, the cookbook and freelance work. But I also cannot lie, that I LOVE being busy, and I LOVE working. However, I’m realizing that it’s time to grow our little Half Baked Harvest team. Some of you may already know this, but my mom is a huge part of my team, as is my dad (a little more unofficially than my mom, but he’s still a big part of helping me get so much done). Together the three of us have struggled to figure things out and built this little site up. But we are now at the point where we need to add to our team. This has been a long time coming and I’m so excited to be here.

What I’m looking to do is bring on someone who can help me with day-to-day tasks so that I can focus on what I do best, the recipes, the photos and the daily content that you guys love! My main goal in bringing on someone new is to continue to improve and grow Half Baked Harvest to the best site it can be. I am so excited for this next step!! Please, if you are passionate about social media and looking to work in the food world or learn about blogging as a business, or if you know of someone whom you think might be perfect for this position, please take a little time to read about the job below. Thank you!

Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Job Description: Mainly, I am looking for someone to help with social media for the blog, but also to be looking at ways on how to better optimize the site and bring new interests to the blog and all social channels. You will be working closely with me to learn the ins and outs of blogging as a whole. This position could potentially include help with scheduling and email. The job is starting at 15-20 hours per week with the possibility of going full-time in the future.

Location: this position is completely remote. The only requirement is that the person be based in the U.S. Of course I would love someone local to Colorado so we can meet and bake together, but the most important factor is to find the BEST fit.

Requirements:

  • familiar with all social media platforms, bonus if you have experience in marketing or advertising
  • must be organized + tech savvy
  • must be a really great communicator. This is HUGE as this is a remote position and most communication will happened via email and phone.
  • fast learner + hard worker + resourceful
  • detail oriented and creative
  • interested in food + food photography
  • familiar with using Photoshop – not required, but highly desirable

Compensation: dependent on your qualifications.

Thank you so much to all that have applied, I am in the process of weeding through emails and am no longer accepting applications. I will be in touch with everyone shortly. Thank you guys again! I am amazed…and slightly overwhelmed by the incredible response I had. You guys are truly the best! 🙂
