Celebrating 100 Years of KitchenAid. With the holiday season officially kicking off, I am so excited to be partnering with KitchenAid today to celebrate their first 100 years.

My earliest kitchen “making” memory (that’s actually what I called it…I would say, “make, make” as a kid) was of making chocolate chip cookies with my mom. I know that may sound like such a cliché, but at our house making cookies really was a frequently performed activity. The joke used to be that my mom would have dessert ready before dinner. Which was very often true. You’ve all heard me talk about these memories before. But my mom’s love of baking was such a huge part of my childhood. It also played such a large part in my wish to start HBH. With a house full of kids, all of us chocolate chip cookie lovers, making cookies on a very regular basis was a way for my mom to keep my brothers and I happy…and busy.

My younger brother Malachi (two years below me) could honestly make cookies by himself at the age of two (with supervision of course). This was something that was often demonstrated when family and friends stopped over. Kai was quite proud of his culinary talents. And obviously very happy with his doughy reward (eating cookie dough straight out of the bowl was the best ever). Somewhere along the way he moved on to snowboarding and photography. But he still enjoys making cookies whenever he’s back home. All seven of my siblings and I do.

The KitchenAid stand mixer will always hold a special place in my heart (and on my kitchen counter). I could not do what I do without my mixer. And I have them in multiple colors…ok, and sizes. I might just be a little obsessed.

About 100 years ago, the KitchenAid story began. And really, for the same reason that I began creating recipes for all of you. They were inspired by those who love to make. That was how the kneading of bread dough led to the invention of the iconic KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Which led to more appliances and products. All of which were created with the desire to make the process of making, more about having fun. While it’s an important milestone for the brand, it’s everyone’s celebration. And now you have the chance to win your very own 100 Year Limited Edition Stand Mixer. Just like the one you see in my photos today. And just in time for the holiday baking season to kick into full gear!

The 100 Year Limited Edition Stand Mixer is available in two different models. One with a ceramic bowl with a Flex Edge Beater. And another with a white-coated stainless steel bowl (the one you could win for yourself!). Both models include unique limited edition features: a heritage-inspired KitchenAid® logo, and a custom Power Hub cover celebrating 100 years of KitchenAid. In addition, the mixer has 10 speeds to thoroughly mix, knead, and whip ingredients quickly and can easily become the culinary center of your kitchen with attachments that fit in the power hub, making your cooking easier and more versatile.

While honoring the roots of KitchenAid, the select Misty Blue products reflect the brand’s continued commitment to designing tools that help home cooks get the most out of cooking. Misty Blue is a soft blue color with a hint of green that is reminiscent of one of the first KitchenAid Stand Mixers.
