Christmas Snowstorm Margarita Punch

Silver tequila mixed with a splash of coconut rum, orange liquor, a touch of citrusy lime, and sweet coconut milk. Finish these snowy margaritas off with sugared cranberries for a pop of festive red color.
Prep Time10 mins
Total Time10 mins

  • 1 1/3 cups unsweetened coconut milk
  • 2-4 tablespoons honey or granulated sugar, adding more or less to taste
  • 8 ounces (1 cup) silver tequila
  • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) coconut rum
  • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) orange liquor
  • juice of 2 limes (about 1/2 cup)
  • fresh mint, for serving
  • sugared cranberries, for serving

  • 1. Bring the coconut milk and sugar to a simmer over medium heat in a small saucepan. Simmer 1 minute, then remove from the heat and let cool. To quickly chill, add a couple of ice cubes.
    2. In a glass pitcher, combine all ingredients. Chill until ready to serve.
    3. Stir before serving and pour over ice.

If you are using canned coconut milk (which I prefer), when you pour it over ice it will curdle up a bit if not stirred. It's still delicious, but you need to give it a stir before drinking to mix everything around again. And if you make the the pitcher margarita, just be sure to give the batch a good stirring before you serve. The coconut milk can separate from the liquors as it chills.
