Citrus Beet Energy Juice.

Winter juices and smoothies to give him some serious energy for the next few busy months ahead.

Ingredients

  • 3 red beets quartered
  • 3 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 red apples quartered
  • 2 blood oranges peeled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey depending on your taste (use maple syrup if vegan)

Instructions

Juicer Method

  • In a high-powered juicer add the beets, spinach, blood oranges and ginger root. Juice into a clean pitcher. Add the lemon juice + honey, stir to combine. Chill in the fridge for up to four days (stir before drinking) or serve immediately.

Blender Method

  • Seed and chop the apples. Place all the ingredients in a high-powered blender. Blend until nearly smooth. Pour mixture through a fine mesh sieve and into a pitcher. Be sure to really push out all of the juices from the veggie pulp. Chill in the fridge for up to four days (stir before drinking) or serve immediately.
