  1. Teighan – love love your blog! And Cinnamon Toast Crunch were always my favorite growing up, I can’t wait to try the recipe…. love your writing and your photographs are amazing, do you take all the pictures yourself??

  2. That’s the opposite of the zucchinis I’ve been seeing at safeway. They are too small at safeway! Trader Joes had some big ones though, but not as big as that! My grandma normally makes zucchini bread with zucchinis from her garden….I should make some before the summer is over.

I used zucchini in this ziti dish recently:

  3. This zucchini reminds me of summer at my parent’s house. No matter if we thought that we searched under all of the giant zucchini leaves in the days prior, we seemed to only find baseball bat size zucchini! It’s the kind of zucchini that you can make a double batch of zucchini bread from and still have half of the zucchini left!
If you have more zucchini to use up, I can highly recommend adding it to oatmeal cookies! Yum! I am craving that right now as I think about it!

  4. Congrats on the Food52 feature. You deserve it! Loving all these links (some are reminders) of great things I saw this week!

  5. Someone told me once that those huge zucchini are dried out? I have no idea though but it seems a lot of backyard gardeners grow them that big. It is fun to see them that big. I guess I’ll have to get one that big to find out.

  6. Hi Tieghan, I started following you in these days, I really like your blog!
Yes it’s quite normal, zucchini tend to get huge when not picked as soon as they are ready.
Usually huge zucchini are more watery and a little bitter
It happens to my father all the time XD
    Have a nice weekend 🙂

    1. Thanks so much for following along, Lou!

Yeah, this zucchini was pretty watery, but it worked great in baked goods! Thank so much, Lou!
