Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post.

Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest

Welcome to the last Sunday of March. I can’t believe how fast this month has flown by and that Easter is exactly one week from today on April first! Speaking of Easter, are you guys doing anything fun? I wish I could say that my family and I have fun plans, but from what I know, nothing is planned as of yet. Hoping to make a good brunch for my sweet mom (it’s her favorite!) and do a family style dinner with the crew. Crossing my fingers the brothers will be back in town, but you never know with their crazy schedules these days.

I’ll be spending today doing a little work catch up, as last week was jam packed with studio barn decisions, meetings, photo shoots, and the quickest trip to LA. I always love heading to LA and even though it poured rain on this trip, it was still great. I spent some time shooting with one of my favorite fashion bloggers Chriselle Lim of The Chriselle Factor. It’s always fun to mix my love of clothes with my love a food. I shared a sneak peek on Instagram stories, but I can’t wait to share the full story when it goes live in a couple of weeks.

A little recap of this week’s post: I shared a very colorful shrimp spring roll bowl, the perfect lemon ricotta Dutch baby, a sneak peek into the studio barn’s upstairs office space, a delicious Greek spinach and feta pie, and blueberry cheesecake bars that are just too good not to make. Coming up this week on HBH I’ll be sharing a few last-minute Easter recipes, a killer sandwich, and the cutest cupcakes. Hope you all enjoy this weeks favorites and have a great Sunday!

1. Inspiring Me This Week.

Chriselle Lim of The Chriselle Factor. As mentioned, I spent some time with Chriselle and her team this week in LA. I have been following Chriselle for a year or so and just could not be more inspired by her. She’s a fashion blogger, designer, founder of Cinc Studios, and mother. Yes, her skills are multi talented all across the board. Her YouTube channel is one of the best out there when it comes to fashion and beauty. Check it out, I have no doubt that you too will be come obsessed with it. Chriselle’s Instagram is full of style inspiration, and her blog is full of everything from beauty, style, lifestyle, and mommy content. Her overall message is to empower women across the globe. If you’re not following her but love fashion and beauty or just need some good working mom advise, Chriselle is a must follow.

Her first collection, sold exclusively at Nordstrom, just launch last week and I am in love with it. Here are my favorite pieces from the collection.

4. Travel Tips.

I’m going to be honest here, traveling is not my favorite thing to do. I always love it once I’m at my destination, but the actual travel part gives me so much anxiety. I’ve gotten better over the years, with the more I travel, but it’s still not my favorite. Therefore, I loved reading this piece from The Everygirl on how to cope with travel anxiety. Below are my favorite tips from the article, you can ready the full article here.

  1. research you destination before departure
  2. be prepared both mentally and physically (love this one so much, I am all about mentally preparing yourself)
  3. have a mantra up your sleeve to repeat to yourself (used this one for my last trip and really helped to ease my thoughts).
  4. distract your mind with an upbeat playlist (this works well for me too! Apparently I really just need to distract my mind)
  5. be kind to yourself and engage in self care

  3. Beautiful dinners and dinner ideas, Your chicken gyro looks delicious, I’m off to visit that link. It’s just my bf and me at home with the fur kids. I usually make a big to-do for all of the holidays to spruce up our dinners, but we’re saving for a home so we decided this year all excess is out! Sigh…I can live vicariously through my favourite bloggers though, thanks for the nice photos!

  4. Whoa, I feel like I’ve been missing out majorly on The Chriselle Factor – just subscribed! As for Easter: I always host my annual Easter brunch with dear family and friends. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think the weather in Ohio will cooperate this Easter and make it sunny 🙂

  5. I just enjoy reading your blog. You are so talented and inspiring! Well done. Also, a big congratulations to your brother Red, i watched the Olympics, just to see him! So amazing!

Keep doing what you are doing! It’s so inspiring.
