Pumpkin Beer Pretzels with Chipotle Queso | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest

{my favorite Pumpkin Beer Pretzels with Chipotle Queso}

This might be the lamest way to start this post, but Happy October 15th! How are we already half way through this month? Where is time going? I am not even close to being ready for November, or the holiday to craze to begin, but ready or not, it will soon be here! Just a little stressed, and also a little too excited…all at the same time.

Trying to take the days one day at a time though, so today let’s just talk Sunday things! What are you guys up to? I have grand plans of making this honey, apple, cheddar, and bacon panini for lunch while slowly cooking this Sunday Sauce in the crockpot and serving it up with a side of honey butter beer bread (recipe is in the HBH cookbook). Also going to spend some time trying on outfits for the week ahead. I am off to LA on Tuesday (let’s hope I take off this time…) to tape another episode of Hallmark Home and Family and then do some more filming with My Domaine. Going to need lots of cute outfits, so wish me luck!

Coming up this week on HBH we are moving full speed ahead with the autumn recipes, and even touching on a few that would be great for Thanksgiving as well! I’m talking one creamy and delicious soup, some sweet pumpkin baked goods, a healthy wild rice recipe, a savory sweet potato dish, and finishing things off with a new favorite autumn dessert…and of course, then a cocktail. It’s a full week ahead!

Hope you guys have a great Sunday! ps. don’t forget to take a look this week’s dinner plan at the end of this post!

1. The New HBH site Redesign:

As most of you have probably noticed by now, we finally launched the site’s new redesign! As previously mentioned, we have been working on this for a while now, so we were anxious to take it live. Unfortunately, we still have some issues to work through, but in all honesty that was to be expected. Launching a new design is a huge deal and there is a ton of moving parts. It’s so hard to get everything right all at the same time. Thank you all so much for bearing with us through our “construction”. Everything should be fixed, running smoothly, and hopefully user-friendly by the end of the week.

Some more noticeable things that will be fixed:

  • the font will be changed to a darker, more easily visible color. So sorry for anyone having trouble reading the posts!
  • the print version of the recipes will be sized down to a much more normal size font.
  • the photos and recipe titles will become clickable again.
  • and if any of you are having trouble with the page load time, that will be fixed as well.

In the meantime, please let me know if there’s anything else you guys notice that needs a little tweaking! I want to make sure the site is easy (and fun) for everyone to use! Also, be sure to check out some new features like my Q&A page, video page, email sign up, barn page, and brand new shop page!

  1. Hi Tieghan,
I got my copy of your book through the post and took it on holiday to read. It is really lovely! Well done! Regarding the web re-design, I just printed off a recipe and the photo and prep time bit took up so much space that the recipe which was quite short (easy 3 cup chicken with zucchini) took two sheets of paper. Is there anyway that most recipes could be designed to print on a single sheet? Less waste and also easier to refer to when cooking! No page turning required!

    1. Hey Liz! Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying the book!
We are working on getting the printing size scaled back down. Should be fixed by the end of the week. So sorry for the trouble!

  2. Hey Tieghan,
I hope your flight goes well and you have a nice time filming in LA this week! My mom and I finally went to get my haircut short and it feels weird ?. Haha but it was nice to see her for a bit. Also, when we were out I saw Cook Beautiful and thought of you. I think it’s such a lovely book and I love the pictures! And I’m sorry you’ve been having trouble with the redesign. I agree that the darker background might help but really like the new design and style. Good luck with your trip this week and I hope you enjoy your visit to LA! 🙂

  3. Hi Tieghan, I really, really like the new site re-design! It’s such a unique design and very easy feel to it, I am sure it took a lot of work!

I do have one question about the re-design, though – it looks like some of your videos are not available to see? On your videos page, the links to some of the videos work but for example, I can’t see the overnight brioche cinnamon pull-apart bread or the salted caramel mocha nutella brownies videos anymore. On each of those posts, it says “watch video here” but the video itself is missing. Not sure if this is a problem with my computer but just wanted to let you know. Also, the salted caramel brownies are not on your videos page – not sure if your videos page includes all of your recipe videos or just some of them. Just wanted to let you know, hope this didn’t sound too confusing! Thanks! (I am also hoping to make those brownies soon haha so selfishly would like to see the video)

    1. Hi! thank you so much! So I checked this out and did some digging, but everything seems to be working fine on my end. All the videos are there and playing for me. Could it maybe be your internet? So sorry for any trouble. Let me know if I can help in any other way. Hoping the videos show up now. Let me know if you still can’t see them, especially the brownie video!

      1. Hi Tieghan, thank you for the reply – yes, I can see them now! Sorry for any confusion, so glad they are there and will look forward to making the brownies hopefully soon! 🙂
