Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post!

Hey, hi! It’s been a week or two since I’ve put up a new favorites post, so it feels super exciting to be back! So many fun things to share today! I hope you’re all having a great weekend!

I really don’t know what to start with today. First, I feel like we should chat about my Mexican vacation? Have any of you guys been to Mexico before? My family and I traveled to Puerto Vallarta and it was a great little getaway. Well, little for me, I was only there about five days while most of my family stayed for nine. We did a lot of beach hopping, margarita drink, and guacamole eating, but by far my favorite part was just chilling at the house with my family by the pool. Nothing can really beat that, you know? The rest of the crew returns home today, so I will be making them dinner for sure. Thinking about cooking up a new indian recipe. Do you guys have any that you love that I should try to recreate? Let me know as soon as possible!

Second up, thanks so much for everyone’s kind words on Friday’s post. We are all so bummed about the loss of all our chickens, but like many of you said, it’s the circle of life and it happens…especially with chickens. We are on the hunt for some new ones, and hoping to up the protection of our fencing, but because we want the chickens to range free, it’s a little tricky. I’ll keep you all updated when we find some new chicks or maybe we’ll just get full-grown hens!

Coming up this week on the blog we have some pizza, fruity tarts, salads, and of course…something sweet to end the week. I’m already excited! In the meantime, here are nine things I am loving this week.

PS. don’t forget to check out my weekly meal plan…it’s number 9 on my list!

1. I always love good career/life advice and these two articles were on point for me.

–> 4 mental habits to break if you want to be more confident…numbers 3 and 4 are my worst habits.

–> CEO’s have these 2 personality traits…learned a lot from this short read.

2. As I mentioned above, I was just in Mexico…you’d think that I would now have the perfect tan, right? NOPE. Half of my skin is lobster red while the other half is still pretty white. It’s pretty clear that my skin is very sensitive and burns easily, so from now on I am applying the highest sunscreen I can find and using this guide to get that perfect beachy glow. THANK YOU!

  1. Adore your blog and shared on my FB. I thank you for eternity for introducing me to Burrata! Your upcoming book is on pre-order as a gift, though to be honest it’s probably an Xmas gift to myself, so I’ll likely be ordering more. I just so get called in to your recipes, along with the compelling background story of your barn. You are so very talented, visually, verbally, and, of course, as a chef and food artist. Keep up the great energy- you are so inspiring!

    1. HI!!! Thank you so so much!! I love burrata so I am so so happy to share it with you! Your putting the biggest smile on my face at the moment (: Thank you!! I hope you love the book Sarah!

  2. That panzanella salad is still the prettiest thing I’ve seen all summer! 🙂 Love your Mexican recipes too, and I can’t wait to see what pizza you have coming up this week!

  3. Love your favorites posts! I know your fan isn’t into lots of veggies, but I would love to see you make saag (or palak) – spinach!!! I make your crockpot butter chicken without chicken (tofu) all the time.

  4. I just can’t imagine what you go through to get all these wonderful pictures (even sandwiches).
