{Today I am partnering with Andy Boy, I used their Broccoli Rabe in this fun and easy appetizer that works equally well as a side!}
Welcome to Sunday snacks…broccoli rabe edition!
If you follow me on instagram, than you know I am a big fan of Sunday appetizer/snacks…it’s kind of become my summer thing! Gotta love good snack food, especially when it’s covered in cheese and wrapped with bacon. Umm, yes and yum!
But first, happy Sunday!! Summer Sundays are so fun, I feel like they’re so much more relaxed and easy-going than a Sunday during the colder months. Is that just me?? I dunno, either way, I’m loving my summertime Sundays. I’ll do a little planning, and then try to get outside for a hike… my time in the sun. And today I’m even going to try to finally carve out some much need chill time with the family, and hear all about their Mexican adventures.
What about you guys? What’s your favorite thing to do on a summer Sunday? Tell me please, I’d honestly love to know. One, I’m super nosey, and two, I really just love chatting with you guys!
Oh, and there’s totally going to be some pie and ice cream eating going on today too. I’m so excited to share my Honey Strawberry Peach Pie from Friday’s post with the fam.
SIDE NOTE: they need a pie emoji, I can’t find one! UGH.
Alright, but let’s chat about this yummy as can be, Bacon Wrapped Parmesan Broccoli Rabe.
One of my favorite ways to prepare broccoli rabe is simply to roast it in the oven with salt, pepper, olive oil and a little parmesan cheese. It’s healthy and delish! Whether I’m entertaining or just feeling a little fancy, I love taking my roasted broccoli rabe to a whole new level and wrapping it in bacon! How could anything wrapped in bacon not be even better, you know?
This has quickly become my go-to appetizer this summer. It’s quick to prepare, and well… everyone loves a little bacon with their veggies! It’s great a side dish but equally yummy as an appetizer, especially when paired with my roasted garlic dip!

No worries!! It is super easy and I am sure it will turn out great! Let me know how it turned out for you!!
A lot of times on Sunday’s we will grill outside bar-b-que or burgers. My family and I try to make time to hang together as a fam.
That sounds like a blast Kristen! I wish we could put together more family time like that!
Instagram your pie eating!!
Haha YES!
We do church on Sunday mornings then spend the afternoon grocery shopping, doing weekly meal prep, sometimes baking a pie or blondies or a fruit crisp. Whenever it’s possible (not too blazing hot – thank you Arizona ???)we have friends over for lots of outdoor time with corn hole and grilled steaks or burgers with easy sides like grilled veggies, bacon-wrapped anythings or giant beautiful salads. Creating big salads is my happy zone, I feel like an artist with a blank canvas (my fav big platter) and multi-colored veggies to paint my masterpiece with! Thanks for all the inspiration with your craveable, lusciously photographed food!!!
That sounds like so much fun!! I totally get what you mean with the salads, its just comforting and fun(:
Thank you for making and reading (: Means so much!
Happy Sunday to you too Tori! I just love your site, not only does it make me happy, it makes me feel like my dreams can come true. Your photos are inspiring as are your creative recipes. I love to cook on Sundays, experiment. Have a bunch of family or friends show up and have a casual, relaxing afternoon/evening. I like to sing and have had Sunday’s where we also write songs and sing our new stuff with each other. Cant wait to try this appetizer and the yummy garlic dip!
Hey Julie! That sounds like an incredible Sunday! Thanks for sharing! ☺️
