I finally set aside a few hours last week to create this tablescape, and had so much fun doing so. I wanted to create a table that was inexpensive, festive, and easy to achieve. Seeing as Christmas Eve is tomorrow, I thought I’d share an easy Christmas Tablescape + My Christmas menu, along with a few tips!
My favorite thing to do is create beautiful things. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved creating, styling, and dressing things up to make them pretty. It’s always been my dream to have the prettiest Christmas table. But up until now, I’ve never been able to make that happen.

For my centerpiece, I bought 3 bundles of eucalyptus greens for $5 each at the grocery store. I also picked up a bunch of pomegranates and simply arranged them around the edges of the greens. Then I threw in a few ornaments for an extra festive touch, and done. Took me only 10 minutes and turned out so pretty. The major bonus in using eucalyptus?
It smells incredible, just like Christmas actually. Perfection.
Moving along to my dishes. I used simple brushed white plates (sold out), and gold flatware, to add a festive pop of color. Natural linens with velvet ribbon, and the cutest homemade gingerbread cookie name tags, give each place setting a special touch. To finish off the table, I used my favorite fancy wine glasses that add an air of elegance.
In full disclosure, I can 100% guarantee my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day table will not look like this. My family is full of boys who could simply care less about what the table looks like. And since I’m usually running around in the kitchen, the table never gets as fully done up I would like. I try, but then ten seconds later someone comes in and ruins it. I wish I was joking, but that’s my family. They’re wild and crazy, and they drive me insane…but yet I love them to death.

What happened to your Gingerbread/Molasses Reindeer cookie recipe? The ones that are pictured on your tablescape in this picture. I made them last year and they were a hit. I can’t find the recipe on your website. Help!
I love this tablescape. So I’m taking notes and pinning this. I’m moving temporarily to Arizona for a year this spring and am only bringing my white Mikasa Trellis bone china and my mother’s sterling. I’m not bringing any of my Wedgwood china patterns. So I will have a year of making holiday tables – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter – with the white china and other decor…and the cheaper the better. This is perfect! Thanks for the inspiration.

Your images are beautiful and recipes to die for…the only downside is that the dishes, glassware etc are not items currently available and are highly sought after. Too bad these companies can’t provide you with them to “cross sell”. I’ve seen a few pieces I’d love to own but can’t purchase.

Sorry, I am not sure what you mean? I really just played around with the branches until I like how they were laying. There’s no right or wrong way to do this, just play around with what you have. xTieghan
What else did you use besides the eucalyptus for greens?
Hi Denise! I actually used three different types of eucalyptus here in this table scape! The types I used were baby blue, silver dollar, and seeded eucalyptus. Then I just grabbed a bit of pine from my yard! 🙂 xTieghan
