So excited to share my 2018 Holiday Cookie Box. This year’s box is filled to the brim with homemade cookies. Everything ranging from chocolate covered, to caramel stuffed, to vanilla frosted. It’s packed full of all my best cookies, bars, and brownies. Anyone you gift this box to is going to love you just that much more this holiday season. Trust me, this is the gift to give.

Welcome to the sweetest Sunday of the year. It’s cookie box day! Now a new tradition here on HBH. Last year I shared just how to create the best holiday cookie box… there’s a lot of great packing tips are in that post, so be sure to check it out. I had so much fun creating last year’s box, that I thought I would do it again this year, but with a couple new additions.

One of my very favorite Christmas traditions is shipping out boxes full of homemade cookies to friends and family who will not get to be with us over Christmas. I’m sending this year’s box to a good friend who just had surgery and is spending the month of December recovering and getting back on her feet. I thought a long while on what the perfect gift would be to send. One that would put a smile on her face and bring her some holiday cheer. I contemplated just sending flowers, because things are so busy these days. But in the end, I kept coming back to a good homemade cookie box.

There really isn’t a better gift to show someone you’re thinking of them than something you took the time to create and make just right for them.

This year’s box is full of so many goodies. Everything from cookies to bars, and even some homemade hot cocoa mix. Because nothing goes better with cookies than a steaming mug of hot cocoa. You’ll notice that some of the recipes are older. Some I have just recently shared. And one that’s brand new and I will be sharing very, very soon.

A few tips for cookie box success…

– When choosing your cookies, be sure to pick cookies, and or other desserts, that will hold up well during shipping. Meaning nothing too gooey!

– You’ll also want to choose a sturdy box that can handle shipping. I love using a heavy-duty cardboard box that has dividers, so that I can keep each cookie separate from one other. I also enjoy using a good cookie tin. Both are great options for keeping cookies safe…and Target has some really cute boxes and tins this year.

– If possible, try to set the entire day aside for baking cookies. Then package up the cookies and ship out the following morning. Take time in creating your boxes, and have fun. Your recipients will love that you took the time to craft the perfect gift just for them!

Hoping this inspires you to spend the day baking cookies, and shipping them off to your favorite people! Please take a minute to let me know if you make your own cookie boxes. I would LOVE to see your photos, and what cookies/bars you included in your boxes!!

I’m thinking there should be a new Cookie Box post every single December. What do you guys think?
