Butter Pecan Cookies…Drizzled with Chocolate.

I had every intention to make non-chocolate butter pecan cookies. I had my butter, pecans, sugar, and flour. There was not a chocolate chip, chocolate bar, or box of cocoa powder within 8 feet of me and my mixer. I had a goal, no chocolate! Just some butter and pecans. The cookies went into the […]

Crockpot Cranberry Chicken.

So yeah, photography? I am pretty sure it is not my thing. I mean I may be able to cook, but I am no photographer! Seriously, what on earth does ISO and aperture mean? I never knew there were so many photography terms! There is so much to learn, it can be overwhelming at times. I am learning though, […]

Popovers.

When I was thirteen I made my very first batch of popovers. I had no fancy pan and no prior experience with baking any kind of bread what so ever! I was a baking virgin with some eggs, a Williams Sonoma recipe, and a hand-held mixer. Oh, and lots of butter. My family had just […]

Sourdough Bread Bowls

We kind of like bread over here. Especially with our soup. Most people do. Crusty, flavorful bread hot out of the oven with a smear of butter or dunked in soup, creamy soup. If you have never attempted to make your own bread then I urge you to start now! Nothing beats fresh homemade bread […]

Currently Happening on Instagram.

  • Happening on my stories RIGHT NOW --> Browned Butter Grilled Peaches with Cinnamon “Toast” Brioche Crumbs. Title says it all, but the stories seal the deal. Make these. And soon because the summer peaches are only here for so long. Recipe linked in profile and full how-to in stories. Hop to it. #eeeeeats #peaches #howisummer #summerrecipes #f52grams
  • It's July, it's unbelievably hot, and it's Friday. Soooo, my Nonnie's chocolate peanut butter ice cream cake for the win --> 6 ingredients, heavy on the peanut butter, heavy on the chocolate, super creamy, a touch salty, and topped with homemade “magic shell”. And if you do it up like my grandma would that means salty peanuts on top too. She was smart and she taught me well. Grab the recipe on HBH...and make it because it's always, always everyone's favorite. Trust me. #howisummer #eatingfortheinsta #eeeeeats #chocolate  #icecream
  • Simplest Zucchini Parmesan Pasta. Because the zucchini is crowding up all the markets AND more importantly because the weekend deserves ALL the pasta. Enter this easy one pan summer pasta. It's creamy, buttery pasta, but without using any cream...but with plenty of parmesan, basil, and yeah butter too. Balance. Recipe linked in profile. #pasta #howisummer #imsomartha #feedfeed #recipevideo
  • Spicy Peanut Noodles with Chili Garlic Oil --> weeknight style (under 30 minutes) and best for those nights when you’re craving extra saucy, slightly spicy noodles. Sooo me. Always. Couldn't love these noodles more. Sweet and spicy peanut sauce (but made with Korean chili paste), chili garlic oil (with shallots which basically just get crispy and delicious), all the noodles, and all the vegetables. The BEST. Recipe on HBH this week - linked in profile. AND i'm making these over on stories tonight too. #howisummer #buzzfeast #imsomartha #f52grams
