3 Ingredient Cheesy Pizza Pretzels | halfbakedharvest.com @hbharvest

I truly cannot believe I am posting these 3 Ingredient Cheesy Pizza Pretzels, but after making them at Thanksgiving for my brother, I knew I had to share them before Christmas. These are the perfect easy appetizer for any upcoming holiday party. People go crazy for them because they have flavors everyone can love. Salty, cheesy, pizza pretzels!?!? What’s not to love about that combo?

SO good.

So let me tell you the story of how these pretzels came to be. On Thanksgiving Day, the family was down at my house, snacking on this bread, drinking cocktails and watching football. My oldest brother Creighton asked for some cheese and crackers. Of course I had cheese, but I was somehow out of crackers. Instead I offered him cheese and pretzels, but then he asked if I had any deli meat. All I had was some pepperoni. For a second I didn’t think anything good could be made with that combo, but then Creigh said something about melting it all together and suddenly the combo sounded so good. I put it all together and the pretzels were gone within minutes. Everyone loved them, and like I said, what’s not to love? These are delicious, no one can not like them.

For a couple of weeks after Thanksgiving I just could not stop thinking about these pretzels. I knew they where delicious, but were they too simple to post? To childish to post? I debated for a while, but then I decided to just go with it, I mean everyone honestly loved these pretzels!

They’re perfect for snacking, and let’s be honest, the fancy appetizers are nice and all, but what people really want are these here pretzels. Salt, cheese, crunch and pepperoni…basically late night, snack attack food. So who cares how fancy these are, all that matters is that they’re damn good.

Plus, the countdown to Christmas is on…just two days till Christmas Eve! So I know we could all use some easy appetizers, right? Right! These are beyond easy to make, like beyond. Anyone can make these, even my brothers. <–that means they are INCREDIBLY easy. Just three ingredients and fifteen minutes.

Done and DONE.

    1. Hey Denise,
Thanks a lot for giving this recipe a try, I am glad to hear that it was enjoyed. Have the best weekend!! xTieghan

  1. 5 stars
I made a small batch of these for my taste-testers (husband and daughter ?) and they were a HUGE hit. We use dairy free cheese so it needed the full 15 minutes. Absolutely delicious!

    1. Hey Chris,
I love to hear that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a try! Have a great week! xTieghan

  2. Sometimes simple is best! I have a question…does most of the cheese remain after it melts through the pretzel? I envision a runny mess, maybe leaving them to cool and set up after baking does the trick.

    1. Hey Patricia,
The cheese becomes crispy as is runs through the pretzels so no mess:) I hope you enjoy the recipe, please let me know if you give it a try! xTieghan

    1. Hi! I used a block of cheddar, so the slices where smaller. I would say, fit the cheese to the size of the pretzel. Let me know if you have questions. Thank you!

  3. Hi! Not to be dense, but what type of pretzel is recommended? I’m not certain if this calls for a soft pretzel or pretzel twist out of the bag/box like you’d find in the snack aisle. Thanks!

    1. HI! You will want to use the medium size, hard pretzel twist. Let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love these and Merry Christmas!

      1. Thanks! I prepared these using the hard pretzel twists that were stocked in my local grocery store’s snack aisle. I think the twists I was able to get were a little thinner than those pictured, and I ended up cutting the large slices of pepperoni into smaller pieces to better fit the pretzels. The recipe turned out great – perfect for holiday entertaining! Thank you for your reply – happy new year!

      2. I used hormel pepperoni slices and tilamook aged cheddar (over a year) and they were a bit greasy. I dabbed up the grease once of the oven and then when they cooled they were great! I also used gluten free pretzels and they soaked up some of the grease so weren’t as crunchy. I’ll get deli peps & diced cheese when I do it again!

        1. Hey Katie,
Wonderful!! I love to hear that this recipe was a hit, thanks for giving it a try! Have a great weekend:)
